Heritage newbie here. Maybe someone could help me with what is probably a stupid question. I'm looking to perhaps buy some of the older Heritage sets on the Bay, but confused by what the difference is between a "complete set" a "master set", a "complete master set", etc. is. I've tried to track down checklists for these sets, but there don't seem to be any official ones.

Can someone point me to where I could get checklists?

hi there, welcome. i can email you a good checklist.

Master sets contain the basic cards (typically 300-425 depending on year), short print cards (typically 75-110 cards depending on year), as well as basic insert sets (new age performers, classic renditions (older sets only), then&now, news flashbacks, and baseball flashbacks).

Topps just released this. Looks like they are announcing all variations up front this year, including SSPs. Hopefully this proves to be reliable.

Does anyone with more knowledge of the 64 set know what these errors could be? The only one I found was #125 Pete Rose UER (Wrong Birthday).

On #4, look for an apostrophe/no apostrophe variation after the word "pitching" on the back

Edit, found a list of '64 Topps variations.

Ok what's a master set without all the bs super short prints and color variations. 500 + 10 flashbacks + 10 news + 30 nap + 10 tn + 15 memo moments + 20 bazookas = 595?

Some people included the stickers last year as part of the master set while others did not. I was not fond of the stickers and gave most of my extras to people who needed them. This year, I'm considering the master set to be complete at 595 cards although some might consider the oversized box toppers to be part of the master set. I personally don't want to include the oversize cards as part of my master set. My thinking is that people who collected the stickers last year will probably collect the oversized box toppers this year. And they probably have felt emblems in their 2007 Topps Heritage master set!

I have older complete sets if anyone is interested. 02,03 and 04. I also have a few chrome sets and a near green chrome set from 2010 or 11 which even it was.

Topps has announced that the retailer-exclusive red parallels (Target) and blue parallels (WalMart) will be used in this year's Heritage. No word yet if ToysRUs purple will make an appearance too.

Whats with the numbering on the front of the Price card? Some of those Topps coins look like some I sold a few years back.

Either way I am ready to go. As with previous years if anyone sees some retail hit early please let everyone else know.

Oh I guess I never took a hard look at that. That changes it up a bit. I was on the fence about collecting the mini's but I will have to see what they look like.

I agree with you. I have seen some BIN's on ebay for $56.00 plus shipping. Will be interesting what my local guy is pricing them at.
