Fun fact, Joyce is wearing a '63 White Sox uni here. (recognized it by the dark blue/red number on the sleeve). He pitched for the Sox in '62 and '63.

I almost moved on that 150 Gibson auto, decent price I think.

I hit a few more blasters and pulled ink and a few other nice cards. Pics to follow.

Nice start to the Heritage season, Kevin.

Wow KEvin, thats a great start, how many blasters are you in for so far?
  • WaltWalt Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭

Picked up 5 blasters from Wally World. No huge hits, but interesting not was that every one of the five blasters had three SP's in them. Got four chromes, and two were Royals so that was a bonus for me.

Congrats to all you addicts who were able to locate cards today. I was unable to find any, though I gave it a good try--- maybe tomorrow.

Great to see pics. posted. Walt is on a roll, needs to slow down, and leave some leftovers. Craig in Ohio
  • I echo what Craig in Ohio just said. I couldn't find any Heritage either but Walt does need to leave some goodies for the rest of us! Oh well, according to UPS I'll be ripping hobby cases tomorrow! image

Wow those team rookie chrome cards really pop nice, very sharp. To add to my heritage anxiety (Or lack of heritage) a snow storm my delay my boxes by a day. image

    Where is Matt and Zep?

I'm here. Finally decided to go the case route. Made more sense than overpaying for 5-6 boxes a ton of retail and still not completing a set. My case should be here tomorrow. Dallas is dry on retail at least the 4 Targets and Wal Marts I checked last night. Will check again today.

Was that Olt/Profar card a regular Chrome or a refractor Kevin? I'm interested if it's a regular Chrome.

Good to see you Matt, sorry it is a refractor. I hope you pull something huge!

some nice hits showing up on ebay. The black refractors really look nice this year.

not gonna lie - I loathe the Giants, but this is a sweet-looking card

From what I have seen the chrome are pulling in nice shape. I can't say that about the base cards. It always seems to be that they chromes and black chromes have decent centering
also. Black refractors are about 3 times as hard to pull than autographs this year.
  • Heritage retail is live in Jacksonville.

Got a blaster and two rack packs and these were my hits:

David Wright Refractor / numbered to 581 or so.
Matt Kemp (no. 450) Venezuelan parallel
Alex Gordon Clubhouse Collection patch card
    Josh Hamilton Blue Parallel (Walmart)

Got 3 high number short prints from the blaster and 1 from one of the rack packs. A couple of Flashbacks, one New Age Performer and a Then & Now. No Memorable Moments, Bryce Harper, Trout, Bundy RC or Profar RC.

Now to wait for my Heritage boxes to arrive later this week.

We will have to see how it goes this year, but usually a case leaves you about 2-4 cards short.

Trying to build a set through retail has to be really tough...the short print seeding doesn't appear to have any rhyme or reason...

Nothing here at the local Target in SE Mass....unless Zep bought them all.

Will be doing this set and next years as well.

I'm on vacation in Arizona for some spring training games. I found four blasters and a full, unopened retail box at Walmart on 75th Ave in Tolleson. The biggest hit was a Pumpsie Green blue auto. Also got one refractor, four chromes, and nineteen high number sp's. I have a case coming from Blowout; hope it's home when I get back.

  • WaltWalt Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭

    The two big hits.

Every case has a purple refractor hot box. 1 purple per pack and VERY fun to open when you are hitting guys like this

These are variations. The Molina was not on topps checklist...hmmmm

  • Walt, I am interested in the Freese red auto if it is available ?

I picked up 5 blasters and a few rack packs. No big hits, but did ok overall. Something to pass the time on a snowy day in IL.

    2 Chrome
    5 Chrome refractors
    2 Black Back
1 clubhouse collection relic (adam dunn)
1 red border card per blaster.

Have not gone through the number of SP's yet.

I am looking for Cardinals black back cards if anyone pulls any.
  • WaltWalt Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭
everything that I pull is available. I am looking for other heritage autographs and rare cards. I also collect ginter autographs.

Ok, I wasn't sure if you were trading or selling. Honestly, I don't have much to trade as I do not open a lot of packs/boxes. If you don't end up trading and want to sell it at some point, maybe we can work something out.
  • matthewbschultz83matthewbschultz83 Posts: 1,259 ✭✭✭
If you don't end up trading that to JPws6 I'd be interested in the Freese too....

    ....to burn.

No blasters at my target, but there was a gravity feed box, so I picked up 20 packs to dip my foot in the water.

So whats Kurt's heritage name this year? Zorro? Clete? Merritt? Boog? Grover? Amado? Denver? Bo? Gates? Lindy?

I purchased a blaster at the local Wal-Mart today.

Needless to say, I was happy.

7 SPs in my 20 packs (including Trout), and a Rickie Weeks Venezuelan back. How SP are the Vens? Also, no chrome in 20 packs which I thought was odd.
