I call out this eBay seller and his "NT" coins

UtahCoinUtahCoin Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭✭✭

Check out the coins from this seller "rczomb1" and then read his description and see if you buy his story. With that said, he does have 100% positive feedback.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

The coins are kind of pretty but I can't believe that they are not AT.

I can't tell with the proofs, but all the other coins look like they have cleaned / polished surfaces to go along with being AT. :s

So he won't accept returns from a TPG. I wonder if one of these got kicked back from PCGS or NGC would he take the return? Just wondering.

The generation of kids who would rather dose random white powders active in the microgram range just to get high. And they ain't cheap.

Mushrooms and weed OK, drugged out RC monkey, keep your shi++y coins.

Oh wow the toning on those is awful...no returns/refunds if you send the coins to a third party grading service and they don't meet your expectations.

The colors are just way too simular to be just randomly stored in cardboard and napkins, and he is way too specific in discussing his chemical concentrations. Coin Dr. All the way.

Zero chance of getting them in anybody's slab.

    Coins are obviously AT.

I also have very SERIOUS doubts that the seller is actually ex-military, much less retired USMC.
Maybe it's a Gomer Pyle wanna-be, but even the worst military folks I knew/know wouldn't sink this low in any hobby (ATing coins, using someone else's color chart to try to deceive, making up a stupid story like that, etc).

    The person is scum

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

They look proofie proof to me and the colors don't match the color formula that has been provided by the astute toned experts here. I think you may be on to something and this seller is trying to either pull our legs or is pulling a fast one. Either way it isn't nice and probably isn't too ethical.

Most of the images are Photoshoped, but his skill level is poor at best. Since he's a member of the PCGS Collectors Club perhaps he can furnish a picture of one of his coins in a PCGS slab.
