Do Classic Coin Collectors drive Classic Cars?

And do Modern Coin Collectors drive Modern Cars? Do Coin Hoarders drive Beaters?
It wold be interesting to know what you collect (type of collector) and compare this trait with the
current car you drive.

My coins are messed up just like my truck ......
I sold my childhood coin collection and bought this 1969 Z-28 Camaro back in 1970.

....
....
Don't wish I had the coin collection back (as I research and collect early U.S. Silver today) but wouldn't mind having the car...

I went back and bought my fav car from my youth. Isn’t a classic yet but should be soon enough.
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I like older coins but newer vehicles. Latest big purchases was a 16d dime for almost 10k and a new Jeep for about 100k. I guess that means I like cars about 10 times as much as coins.

No really good pictures of the Jeep (or the dime) at this time, but this tells it all. Helps me get to the coins shows,,,, very quickly.
What kind of Jeep could cost any where near 100K. I see them all the time for 40K or less.
It's called a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Let's just say it's the ultra high performance model of the Grand Cherokee.
They just came out in the past few months. It's not fully "broken in yet" but so far I've already seen 0-60 in 3.1 and the 1/4 mile in 11.5.
Whoa!!! Didn't know they (Jeep) made a BEAST like that!

I have a '72 Challenger, and a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
My Jeep Cherokee only has 475 HP..... I'm jealous!!!

Then I would say you have a WK2 SRT Grand Cherokee which are awesome vehicles. I had two of those myself before buying the Trackhawk.
This is my 49 Chev Panel Truck that I get out when the weather is good up here in Seattle.
I love that panel truck!

Here's my hand-me down that I've been teaching my 16 year old how to drive an 'H' pattern.
Those six days out of the year must be fun!
I wish it was simple (or I knew how to do it) to post a photo here. But my daily driver is a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis, fun vehicle is a 1940 Ford pickup with a modest built 350 Chevy. I retired from drag racing in 2011, had a 1972 Plymouth Duster, 340 for power.

@BustDM, have you spent more money on your numismatic library, or the Z???
I got back into collecting coins in 1983. My wife had a 1983 280ZX....

Few years left till my 51 fleetline is on the road. Basically started with a rusty tin can, its now a rusty tin can with no holes in it.
I feel your pain... but now I am at home on windows 10 on a new PC and it seems easier than ever. The far right drop down in the message reply box is to insert button to add an image in your thread/reply. It will let you browse your PC for the photo wherever it's stored even in a quick flash drive or photo card. Just click and search where your photo is stored then click on it. Simple. You can even preview it after to make sure it's how shat you wanted.

Just waiting for summer again. My wife and I met for lunch one day, last summer, we had different errands to run. Both cars are sticks.

I wanted a classic, but couldn't find one fast enough. So I built a new version that makes 840hp.

My 1965 Ford Falcon Futura convertible. 170 cid inline 6, 3 on the tree.

I collect Mercury dimes and other things I think are cool!

If I could afford and justify it I'd LOVE this exact ride. I drove a 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited for 8 years 200k miles and never once got sick of it. Still miss it a few years later
I drive a Jeep Cherokee Sport.
I wonder why?

This is my toy.
1968 Shelby GT500, 428 Police Interceptor 4 speed 3.50 locking rear end.
Also have a 1930 Model A and a 1966 GT Hipo Solid Lifter Mustang Convertible.
My father used to tell this story..
His first new car ever was a 1963 Ford Falcon with zero options. He bought it when he graduated OCS in the Navy. After his first year in SF his next duty station was Japan. Military housing there was in short supply so my family lived off base in the Japanese community. He shipped over the Falcon. He said that every day for months he would have to take Japanese locals on drives around the block because none of the had ever seen a passenger vehicle that was so modern, powerful, luxurious and well made.
I'd like to drive a cool old car, but I have no mechanical ability. You really have to have the ability to fix old cars to own unless you can pay someone else to do the work. My 1973 Javelin would have been a cool show car because they are rare. Most of them have been junked.
I am the "classic old man in Florida" who drives a Cadillac "reward car." It's a red CT-6. All the "cool people" drive something from Europe or Japan. At least the parking attendant at the Royal Pacific in Orlando called it a "cool ride." It is fun to drive with a duel turbo charged engine.
My garage queen, 2014 Mustang GT/CS, last year of the solid axle. 15 and up come with independent rear suspension.
Equipped with the Ford Racing handing pack, lowered about 1 inch.
We need pictures of the Challenger.
I love cars and coins!

Here's the Trailhawk and the Challenger

Chevy Truck. 2015 1500 Silverado. Looks good on the rare occasion that it’s clean. It’s no pavement princess as my other hobbies keep it plenty dirty.
Classic old cars? A ‘69 Camaro might find its way to the stable someday. We’ll see.
Only truck for me.

the old carefree jeep...

Have been researching the Cadillac CTS-V.
Is she the one for me?
Lots of classic 2010s muscle!
Here's the ones I can drive, there's a 62 Pontiac Catalina ragtop in the garage waiting for restoration.
68 gto, repainted original color, factory 4-speed. Truck is a 1970 with factory AC. I do all my own

work but the truck I got already painted, mechanically it was in shambles.
I'm not a coin collector but do collect ball cards. I saw this thread and thought I would share my classic car if it is ok with you guys. 1968 Beaumont SD396 that now has a 543 hp 427.

WOW! That's something you don't see every day! Nice.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Mine was a 1963 1/2 Futura convertible in triple black with a 260 V8 T10 Borg Warner 4-speed. I had it for 15 years along with a 1964 Ranchero straight 6, three-on-the-tree, steer hyde bench seat.
The library, of course.
I guess I gave up the opportunity to drive a NSX or Audi A8 but know more about my hobby.

My Mopar beast I had years ago. Wish I still had it but I need 4WD now anyway.
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
Some do some don't. I do.
As classic as it gets (ancients) but I drive a Tesla.

My Porsche Turbo-S Cabriolet is the best way to transport my coins. With significant enhancements HP is about 800. Good thing that PCGS does not grade cars.......it would be graded code .69, artificially enhanced for the owner's benefit. But it will do in excess of 205 MPH ( my best but still a little more possible). I can outrun most all hijackers.
