20k (one of the guesses) for a coin that is made in large quantities only for collectors under strict quality control. What is the average grade, 68 or 69? JMO. I could think of a lot more interesting numismatic options than that to spend 20K on. I guess to each his own. If you need me I’ll be a century Or more behind this stuff.
I bet that one was graded by nasty Wayne, he has a perpetual cold and only washes his hair twice a month. I saw him pull a unwrapped pastrami sandwich from his pocket and eat it at Baltimore.

Pop of 2 when it sold in Sept 2016, current pop is 14.
That's the problem with population rarity of common coins in a nutshell. Even happens to supposedly stable classic issues--see, for example 1912-S 5c in 65 or 66 the last few years. Definitely why I prefer collecting absolute rarity versus population rarity. Coins with both are ok too.
There is a precious metal forum. This one is awfully close to the bottom, in terms of value and discussion. But that is a personal opinion. The “W” is for the win. After all, we have to call it a coin. It reads “One Dollar”. Those spots are gross.

Edited: I thought you were referring to a very recent sale (last couple of weeks). This is my valuation for the current market.

There nice n all, but a 69 can be had for $100 bucks or so. The only and last 70 ASE I've ever bought. Way to volatile, jmo.

MS-70s since 2007 or so are as common as rainwater. You can get MS-70s for those dates for not much more.

with a pop of 14 & the pops likely to go up, my guess between $3k - $4k

Ouch... That's definitely going to be a burial at $11+k
...& there is only one way the pop will go & value go....up & down, respectively.
