Really nice detail, especially the rev. Feathers And the eagle. It is kind of nice.

    The eagle looks good

A lot nicer than I thought it would look. I like the sheen it gives off, almost looks matte.

Now, that's a coin I'd consider buying. I didn't feel that way about the artist rendering used on the Mint's web site.

Are these coins the same size as the AGE's and APE's?

They look like I hoped they would. Striking, bold, beautiful. Love it.

Looks very nice.... If I purchased it, it would be strictly for the coin art.... Cheers, RickO

I haven't seen one yet, but going on the Maple Leaf coins, which I do have an example, it's larger than the Platinum, similar in size to the silver version (it's less dense) I am assuming it's the same with the Eagles.

Here's a comparison of Pd and Au I had several years ago. Note the 5 ounce silver bar is about the same size as the 10 ounce gold bar

love the coin/design, but will wait till next year's issue and will probably get it much cheaper. In the long run these, like all American Eagles will be at the mercy of the spot price market. Quite a frenzy over these with the speculators (flippers).

From the public law that authorized the coins: "the Secretary shall mint and issue the palladium coins described in
paragraph (12) of subsection (a) in such quantities as the Secretary may determine to be appropriate to meet demand."
While the mint has announced they sold 15K of the 2017 coin, they have not provided confirmation that this is their final mintage. Gonna pi$$ off a lot of current buyers if they sell more.

I really like it. The photos make me think of a nicely struck pattern piece, because of it's overall look and the mild rim imperfections.

I'm with derryb on this one. I'll be patient and buy one when the price comes down to closer to melt value. JMBullion has them and they are currently priced at about $230 more than their Canadian counterpart. I like the reverse design but lets give the older classic designs a rest and come up with some new coin designs for the 21st century. This will be the third time for the Mercury dime design.

I'll second (or third) that thought. Gonna wait for Palladium to come down and the frenzy to subside. We've seen this story before...

In a thread on the U.S. coin forum, it is discussed having the ASE reverse changed to this Eagle design and doing an UHR 1.5 oz. coin. That would be truly amazing.... Cheers, RickO

I like this, but like the others, I'm going to wait a while and see if the price comes down a bit.
