Have never seen that card before Ross - and only a few are around?
Even better.
Was that from a regular 98D box?
It was part of a packed out set called Donruss Collections that DLP produced just before bankruptcy; it was essentially their response to Finest and Chrome. Chrome and chrome-refractor-like cards were produced for Donruss, Leaf, Elite, and Preferred, as one large, tiered difficulty set. While the cards didn't lose their original numbering, they were renumbered with a Collections stamp on the reverse. Their refractive quality is extremely high.

Added a few more 86 Fleer PSA 10s, but you've seen one, you've seen them all.
Picked up a pesky PSA Abe Simon for Ringside. Need only 2 more to finish my PSA set and I'll be #4 on the Registry.
Also added a few AFA graded figures from G.I. Joe and Star Wars. Really starting to love collecting these.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
This is a cool card. Love him or hate him, his rookie card from the 80's. One of the most fun things about collecting is finding new cards you never knew existed.

That doesn't look anything like Trump.
It isn't a perfect drawing but it looks pretty close. This set was produced by a comic book manufacture and The Donald was included for his ruthless dealings in New York City. His position is Real Estate Tycoon.
The set was left for dead for many years and then in 2016 a media outlet discovered that there was a card of Trump and brought it to light. I listened yesterday to an interview from that media outlet with the person who created the cards hoping to learn some new insights on the set but it was just a typical Trump bashing.
I just looked at the box and this set was $8.95 which isn't actually very cheap for 1989. This card isn't highly condition sensitive and I think its greatest potential is signed.
Wow, now that's some material. Yes, carded unopened figures especially the first 12 can be worth a ton graded. Just like cards, condition is everything. Same type of numbered scale and AFA is about all I know. I seee that Leia figure has a Y in front. That means the bubble has yellowed from air cracks etc and the plastic has yellowed. I love me some Star Wars, however cards and sports is my passion.

All of these football cards got me motivated. I upgraded my Bart Starr and this thing is virtually perfect. This may be a bump candidate. The corners show NO wear under 10x and the registration and centering, color strike are all there.
That Unitas and those Howleys are just amazing. I like these threads. Showing off our cards is the bomb!

Good to know. Will have to dig out and check the series, but I know I have a Landspeeder in box with some earlier figures. I think a Vader and a couple of R2's
Participated in a random team 16 box case rip of Origins Football and got the Seahawks. Really nice cards, even if no monster hits.

Dream basketball pickup for me. Trimmed yes, but it's razor sharp with a crisp clean surface on both sides. Very happy to add this card to the PC! I also landed a low grade Bob Cousy RC. Scan up!
I just picked up a couple of linebackers for my 1969 Topps football set. These guys are really hard to find
with nice centering and a clean background.

@Planemonkey Nice Catfish! Did you ever fly FAM Airlines?

Thanx Ross.
Picked up a few new additions for my Dallas Cowboys collection:
And a very sharp card for my 1969 Topps football set, very pleased with this one. Love the first series 1969 cards.

I pulled a printing plate from a pack and didn't post it.
The odds are like 8000 to 1?
To be honest? I doubt there's much excitement about these - unless of course - it was Judge or Bellinger e.g.
There's someone on eBay with a Judge auto plate 1/1 - that's incredible - if ya think about the odds?
Stone, that is very cool if you ask me and I am not even a modern collector.
Just got these back from PSA.

More like Sean Penn!!

Can't get enough Star Wars stuff either. I have some other AFA graded, not pictured. Carded figures are a lot of dough, however always looks looking
Crazy nice stuff guys, It's been awhile since I've posted anything I've picked up, but here are my latest cards I've picked up within the last week.
I like the '58 Clemente...nice centering and beautiful registration. You actually can make out his facial features...not so common w/this card.
Great pickups all around, the diversity I dig!!
It's a trip to see graded Star Wars figures
Is it worth it to get unopened figures graded?
That's some great stuff Dan!
I like Star Wars also.
We used to have a member here who was NUTS for SW's! Unfortunately, I believe he sold out and left the hobby?

Every single Card shown on this thread is spectacular! Very nice guys. Very nice indeed.
These are pulls rather than purchases - they're the "mega" box version of the cards.

Wow Tim - the Mikan card is sweeeeeet!
Are you doing the 2 sets?
I like the '57 tho I would never tackle it.
Ya know Joe - I'm starting to really like the artistic approach of some cards.
And those are really well done. Sorry, wouldn't know a good from a bad pull there - I always like auto'ed cards.
What is that David.
The Lesnar looks like a card but the top corners differ from the bottom.
@Stone193
Out partying with my wife. Will scan tomorrow.
One of the few judge cards I didn't have before I sent in my 23 card judge submission to PSA. So I picked this up today.

Mike, I've seen that Star Wars room before . Just incredible. He used to belong here? i have read about him and just amazing.
love the cards guys, can't pick out one above the others...and love the star wars....lets see more "memorabilia"
A couple Rookies that arrived today.
I believe he dropped out of the hobby entirely?
His name is Jery aka roastedcat.
Just added this to my small collection of 52s.
Mike, presents very nicely, congrats!
