erik...those are so cool..i had no idea they existed..ugh...add them to the list...ha
I collect PSA. I am trying to upgrade my 9 of this version. There are three numbered versions. 50, 100, and 999. There are no PSA 10's so far of any.
I think PSA would have considered this for 10 in the holder fwiw. If you crack out many cards like this so its an all or none thing then that makes sense also.

I am going to buy a renewal membership and send it in a 15 card sub. I don't disagree that it most likely could have easily crossed in the holder. I would rather take the risk of it not coming back a 10 than submit it as a single card crossover sub.
This is a very limited print run on card autograph of The Undertaker. Apparently there are only 50 of these that were signed and like many Fleer products from this time frame some of those redemption cards may still be in packs. No clue what the War Booty stands for. LOL There is some chipping on the lower edge and it seems that is fairly common on some of these glossy cards.
I purchased a sealed set of the 1987 Circle K cards and this Hogan is in pretty decent shape. These cards are tough due to terrible centering across the set and corner issues.
picked up a few cards from ebay and the dollar store by me . the Darcy Tucker and the Martin Brodeur are from a dollar store mystery bag and the rest from ebay
the green masked men is 1/1
Nice Brock...good luck on the sub. Not a big wrasslin fan anymore, but always enjoy your 80-90s stuff...used to love it back then. You've got a great collection.
Love the Hockey Slimies! We could always use some more around here.
Added a few this week. First two are for my 70s Sabres Run and the pack is to display with my '79 Topps Set. I have an empty box. Now I just need a nice BBCE wrapped one.
Funny little aside. I have a Epson V550 (Same as 600 without the software suite) and I tried a whole bunch of settings on my scanner since this is the first PSA pack I've scanned. I have my settings saved that I've used for cards and don't use dust removal, descreening, back light or color restoration to present the card as true as possible. On the pack I tried the dust removal just to see if it made a difference with a few case scratches. Oh it did alright. It removed some but not all the dust, a few small scratches on the case, and the number "1" on the label where it reads "10 picture cards"'. So just a word of caution for those that have an Epson V550/600 if you are using the scans for a sales listing be careful with your settings it may misrepresent the card without you intending to do so.
Bad news Kevin, Topps wasn't selling many hockey packs in
79 so they simply stopped putting cards in the packs to save on expenses.
Enjoy your 1 stick bubble gum.LOL.
Seriously, thanks for the laugh, that pack looks so funny saying 0 picture cards.
Wow, too many great pickups to name all so I will just call out these three:
Joe--Your collection continues to amaze. That PSA 10 MJ Sticker is awesome.
Mike-- Congrats on the Ichiro 1/1. I have opened a bit of modern with my son and the closest we have come is a card /10.
Tim--That is a heck of a month in 9 days! Those are some big boy HOFers. You know I love the Walton being a basketball guy and he may be the weakest HOFer on there! Great stuff.
As for me I will cheat a little and post a couple of August pickups in with September since I didn't have time to post them in Aug. I have been bitten by the 90's inserts bug and have been intently grabbing PSA 10 Jordans when I can find a good deal. Here are the latest.
I have struck out on getting this in PSA 10 so I decided to throw a BO out on this BGS 9.5 on the 8% bucks promo. I was pleasantly surprised to get an accepted offer on the first shot.
I love die-cuts and I like this MJ card because it is a rare example where he is shown playing defense.
This is one from Aug but since I missed posting it last month I have to post it now. It is probably my favorite 90's MJ insert. Not the rarest or most expensive but just my favorite design.
This one is one of MJ's rarest 90's inserts. The ZPeat version of the Jordan BMOC! Would love a 10 some day but the 9 was expensive enough!
And here is a bonus card, non-MJ variety. It is another UNC star and future HOFer, Vince Carter. I loved the Dunk 'N Go Nuts MJ so much in hand that I decided I wanted more cards from that set. This came for auction shortly after and I was excited to get this at a good price. This set happens to be from VC's RC year. Just another great looking card.
I've been collecting for almost 30 years and don't have the iconic cards you've been picking up.
Good show buddy. Both look especially nice.
Thanks Mike, I can say the same about your collection. I have never seen most of the stuff you have. It's not only cool to look at, but also a huge education.
Matt I collect: 80’s Rookies and 86 Fleer Basketball
ill load a scan soon but picked up a game used babe ruth card numbered 2/10 plus a few others that arrived in the mail. been collecting since 1989 but lost alot of my collection to a fire in 2008 so am rebuilding slowly
Back in August 1993, I returned to card collecting after a 12-year hiatus. I had just finished graduate school and went back to my home town temporarily while I searched for permanent employment. My younger brother was deep into card collecting, and his passion rekindled my then dormant love for sports cards. It was something we could do together after I had been away at school for 6 years, so I jumped right back into collecting. I remember that all cards after 1981 were "new" to me, and the 1987 Fleer Jordan was one that caught my eye. There were card shows every weekend at the Malls in the area, and I saw quite a few of these Jordans in NM or so condition for around 150 bucks, which I couldn't afford at the time. I finally picked one up this past week for nostalgia's sake. The funny thing is that I didn't want to spend too much for one (even today), so I went with this PSA 7 example, which is just enough to satisfy me.
The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
It's not a gem, but it's been my number one most wanted Frank Thomas card for many years. If I'm fortunate enough to upgrade, awesome; if not, I'm really happy with how it presents despite some condition issues.
1998 Donruss Collections Preferred Prized Collections #PC 552 with a print run of 55 copies; despite the high print run, only 3 or 4 copies are known to the Thomas community.

Sone sweet additions and the hits just keep coming.
That 59 Starr is incredible. Certainly worth a shot at a bump. Good luck with the bump and let us know how it turns out.
Those two Banks rookies are certainly strong for the grade.
Like the 62 Unitas. That is a difficult card to find centered and that 5.5 is very nice looking.
I think PSA would have considered this for 10 in the holder fwiw. If you crack out many cards like this so its an all or none thing then that makes sense also.
Matt, what a great looking Musial!
Mike, I've never seen those Babe Ruth rings...are they difficult to find? What a fun challenge to collect the variations!

..and also the great 5s continue..wow

September has been a great month for pickups!
A couple Wackys closer to my first series set -
Superman cards are on fire, and centered ones are super tough. Glad to pick up this beauty for The Centered Man of Steel collection -

Thought this would make a nice Lofton for my HOF players set. No interest in getting a Lofton rookie so look for something off the beaten path:
Another Unitas. I only need 4 more to complete my set of Unitas cards.
heres a few more picked up. the ruth is 2/10
I got this out of the 4/$1 box at our sad little local card show.
I'm calling it a success!
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
I'm on a roll. Just picked up another Unitas. I only need 3 more.
Great stuff posted.
Just acquired.

You guys are killing me with incredible stuff!
So much - too much.
Wow Kevin - that's a really nice 79T pack.
And Michael - you too - the 71T pack is really nice also.
The 73T Unitas is especially nice.
Now this just got delivered!
Turn of the century Helmar Tobacco Store framed Advertisement
Notice the printing at the base - indicator that it came with the poster for the store to display. Great trade stimulator of its time.
This one is good size 36X25"
here's the back of the ruth card
These are two of my September pickups. Gonna snag another Griffey Jr I think. Cant decide, 89 Topps Traded or 89 Score. Hmmmm

Hiya Kevin
Thanx buddy.
This is a poster - printing type - chromolithograph.
What makes these desirable is the "original" frame with printing on the bottom.
I have an Egyptienne Straights Cig and a Turkey Red cig ads also - and both are original frames with the writing that was imprinted into the wood.
All of these products contained cards at some time in their production.
Decided to get something other than a PSA 5.
