Pretty Nice toning considering it's only almost 500 years old. Sorry it's darkside

    I like it. Nice pick-up.

My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

Please don't post coins like that...other folks might start to clue in on how cool they are and drive prices up! I was just looking at a Charles I shilling I have from 1633-34 and saw your post.

Seriously...very nice looking piece...thanks for posting!

P.S. Some of the coins in SmEagle1795's collage have nice toning and are quite a bit older...

That is quite nice. These coins are often weakly struck in the center which results in a poorly defined portrait.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. That is a very nice shilling... great condition for a coin almost 5 centuries old.... Cheers, RickO
