Many industrial players surrounding the region. Tensions are rising yet the markets continue to hum.

Hoping that the resolution is peaceful.

What effect will a North Korean conflict have on the prices of precious metals?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

none unless the conflict takes place in the land of the US $.

If I were a younger man this situation would be causing me to lose sleep. A nuclear power closing in on the ability to deliver the payload great distances, backed up by a callous superpower in a tightly populated theater.

Imagine how the koreans feel. They helped us against the japanese in ww2 so we partitioned the country without their consent.
We then murdered a quarter of their population during the korean war then forced a ceasefire and those in the north have lived in abject poverty ever since.

In the meantime 50 years of bought off presidents of our country repeatedly threaten them every other year just to drum up business for the military parasitical complex.

Meanwhile the media is wetting itself at the prospect of nukes popping off here and there and anywhere #RATINGS and any peace overtures are dismissed out of hand.

I have zero concern of North Korea. No head in the sand, just logical and rational judgment. Russsia, Iran, Pakistan, China...all countries we've "worried" about the last 30 years..for naught.

Zero is a pretty low number.

Administration though seems determined to not allow this rapidly progressing threat to continue.

This subject is a rather serious one for the MSM to distract us from what the Fed is doing to us.

There is a difference between worry and complacency.

North Korea is impotent. Even if he were to launch a missile that hit Japan (never would hit US), the next day every single piece of their military apparatus would be destroyed. And that would be the end of that.

You are assuming that China would just shrug their shoulders and ignore the carnage. Maybe or maybe not.

One can be certain that any military action by the US will be clandestine and not have Geraldo Rivera handing out coordinates.

That fact that the US hasn't won a war since 1945 ought to temper that enthusiasm a bit. If you disagree jot down a list of recent wins B)

The difference being there was an actual reason to be in those 2 wars , or at least the population felt it on some level. Everything after that has been fabricated and the citizenry has figured that out because they don't want to go fight and die in countries that are no threat to us. 1945 was the peak its been downhill since , if our war record was a stock chart you would have shorted it after Korea , Vietnam was a trainwreck , Iraq and Afghanistan are worse than Vietnam and lets not embarrass ourselves by talking about the fly-swatting of Grenada or Panama .

We do great work when there an obvious reason for being in a war . Since 1945 that has been missing. Every thing since 1945 has been a grift .

So let's make a good reason and go back to back to back!!!

It wouldn't hurt if we told the media to stay home either.

we've been at war for the past 14 years and the only winners thus far are the profiteers.

They were doing ok making the muslims out to be the new Hitler so they could keep the con running but joe sixpack can go on liveleak and see 100 videos of the army blowing up a donkey and some poor scrub with a pitchfork on his shoulder (sorry I mean sniper rifle ) with a hellfire missile . Turns out even to those of us with room temperature IQ's that spending 40 large to kill a dumb animal seems a tad wasteful.
But...... all the Washington crowd knows is stealing from the taxpayer so now Russia has to be the new boogeyman , more believable right because they have actual tanks and planes to shoot at with our high tech gizmos that cost billions . Can't very well keep the F-35 program alive by talking about goatherders . :D So all the fake news outlets got the message from the top and now we gotta hear about reds under the beds 24/7/365 . Because its Russia , they don't even need to write new propaganda they just go to the archives and lift whole stories word for word from 1954 . The sheer nostalgia of it brings a tear to my eye , makes me want to practice the old duck and cover :#
