What is this? Liberty twenty dollar coin 1944?

Hello!

I got this coin that i can't find anything about. I've googled for hours and can't find any coin similar to this.

What is this coin? Where does it come from? Is it special?

Best regards,
Luke

Not a coin. Decorative Keychain fob with Washington Quarter obverse and reverse.

It's a piece of jewelry patterned after the Washington Quarter. I am a bit surprised that the Secret Service didn't come after the maker of this piece. They have hassled people for lesser offenses like making cookies that looked in like Indian Cents in the 1890s.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I hope that the US Secret Service doesn't come after me too!

The 1944 key chain Washington $20 is surely more interesting than a real circ 1944 quarter.

Somehow resonates with a few Indian Peace Medals I've seen. Mostly because there's an authentic hole in hit, I suppose.
Lacks the nuances of the Houdin bust and its other progeny.
Does the chain have the same metallic composition as the medal?

The curious story of proof one dollar gold coins minted, far beyond any collector need, especially for Members of our Congress from 1882-1889. Urban legend is that the politicians used them to pay for the occasional whorehouse visit; some sense can be made of why holed examples of these dates, and no others, show up occasionally.

How about corruption at the Swedish Mint? Many of our most treasured rarities involved payoffs to Mint officials to produce limited editions of coins that never existed.

Many here are concerned with the foreseeable consequences of a "cashless" economy. While population and geographic scales are different, hard metal vs. fiat/electronic currency is easily imagined as a mutual topic I'd personally like to hear more about from the perspective of a collector from your country.

Welcome. Stories, please. Stick around for the fun. :):)
