Who monitors toolhaus and sites like it? What's stopping anyone from putting anything about anyone on there? Is there accountability by anyone associated with the actual website to put their reputation on the line confirming everything is 100% accurate in case someone who may have been wronged decides to sue the owner of the website?

It appears it's a site looking for "donations".

Also, it is not consistent in its content. When it is not, this message comes up:
"Error: eBay has blocked access to feedback. Toolhaus is unable to obtain information that is available only to registered eBay users. We're not happy about this.

    • But try again in an hour, sometimes eBay unblocks us!
    • For more information, see our FAQ"

ebay does inhibt the function of toolhaus sometimes , it does that with watchcount also. I always assumed they hooked into ebay somehow in a non standard way. Both sites provide information that ebay would rather we didn't have.

There is plenty to ebay that average buyers and sellers don't have access to , that 3rd parties pay ebay to access but others might be able to manipulate it without paying if they have the knowledge.

Why would you waste your time to add a smart arse answer that provides zero benefit or insight to the questions asked? If the site goes unmonitored and the information on it is unconfirmed by someone willing to be sued if it isn't, what good is the information? Fake news strikes again. No source of reliable and confirmed information is meaningless.

I, like many here, find benefit (red flags) in looking further back for feedback that Ebay does not allow us to see. Is the feedback negs that Toolhause shows for you "fake news?" If so, why haven't you sued them? Does the fact that they show your history explain why you are so down on them?

Unlike ebay, the site does not remove negs after 12 months. And yes, one should read them, as they are not all deserved.

I WELCOME people to look at MY feedback. Make sure you choose the "RECEIVED by" option because those are ones I've RECEIVED in 13+ years on the site...a whole TWO negative feedbacks in 13+ years and trust me as my hand is to God, that guy with the Amarks is a total total nut job.
The other was because the buyer did not pay an invoice for .59 for 3 WEEKS, so I left what I did in his feedback then he dinged me...I will proudly wear that one. By the way, that was 11 years ago!
    http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=betterbullionandcoin&Dirn=Received+by

When you use the "LEFT by" option, those are ones that I have LEFT for sellers that deserved it, many of which are no longer regsitered users BECAUSE they were horrible sellers.

Learn how to use the site correctly before you go saying people have questionable practices.

I will stand 100% behind my eBay feedback RECEIVED, two negative, one neutral over a grading issue on a raw coin...the guy leaves neutral rather than returning it, in 13+ years, and that's showing everything as you say this bullcrap toolhaus site does.

There it is derryb, I've laid my skeletons out for full viewing, I wonder if you will do the same?

I'm not sure what derryb's beef is but I've done many BST transactions with piecesofme and every one was done in a pleasant professional manner with great communication along the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend piecesofme to other forum members.

no beef. He called the site fake news and I asked if the site was inaccurate with what it said about him. It's not about what his feedback says, its about the accuracy of the site in correctly showing the feedback. For that matter, is there any one here who can say that the site does not correctly reflect their feedback?

"Fake News" has become the new explanation for something we do not like or something we do not agree with. I stand by my recommendation to check feedback at the site when looking for ebay seller red flags. I also stand by my recommendation that those who think the site is fake news to disregard any red flags that it presents to them.

Thank you PerryHall, and you are certainly a valued repeat customer who has always 100% of the time came thru on what you said you would do.

derryb...I asked if the site is monitored, you gave a smart remark, I still do not have an answer to that question and since you seem to value the content of the site, I thought you would share that information if known and maybe find out if you don't so that others who may want to use it as basis of dealing with an eBay seller would have piece of mind knowing what's on the site is accurate.

You then went on to imply that I am the subject of the thread, that I am flattracker14j, I am here to say I am not nor am I defending that seller. I'm asking questions about the toolhaus site.

You imply that I have a bad record on eBay because what you are referring to is the BUYING side (feedback I've left, not received) on the account, which has been converted to only being a selling account 10+ years ago. You imply that my feedback LEFT is what I have RECEIVED and I have admittedly left some negatives when the account was a buying account (10+ years ago) for reasons previously stated. Totally different ballgame but to you seemed to be a minor detail. It's not, it's a totally different ballgame.

How am I supposed to react when you still haven't supplied an answer to what was a legit question to be asked? Fake news is news that has no credible source, stuff that is made up and in the end usually has zero factual content. I am still waiting on the source where you can say without a doubt the content is accurate.
You ask people to air their dirty laundry as a basis of whether the content is accurate LMAO. Do you really think sellers that have more than maybe just a few negatives are going to divulge that freely and openly as I have? lol. C'mon man, get real.

I also wait for your toolhaus status. I'm sure it's impeccable. So if it is, why not say it is, unless you have something to hide by never saying what you're eBay seller name is on here to my knowledge. If you have, I've missed it because you and I will never knowingly to a transaction with each other because of the bad blood.

ebay is the source for toohaus data. They take it right from the site word for word. This is why ebay is able to sometimes block your viewing of the data.

Like many, I too have unwarranted neg feedback, and on toolhause they are accurate, word for word. As much as you'd like to make it about you it's not about you or me, it's about establishing that their data is not accurate, something you have yet to show.

Who do you want to monitor toolhaus? Ebay? Ebay is the one trying to hide feedback . The whole negs don't count after 12 months is aimed at protecting the huge sellers that acquire 100's of negs every year and yet still manage to get better fee discounts and raised search standings than you and I. Watchcount would probably not exist either if Ebay hadn't started hiding what best offer prices realized were. They are masking the data that can help buyers and sellers research potential trading partners. unauthorized sites spring up to fill the need.

Just wanted to point out this seller is still offering the items after you all have reported him. eBay must see the situation as I have stated. Nothing dishonest and clearly described.

FWIW I was not questioning PoM's reliability. My question to him was about why he thought the Watchcount website was unreliable. He took the question as an attack. Watchcount shows the negs I have received and, though unjustified, they are 100% as they appeared on ebay years ago.

For anyone who assumed I was questioning this forum members integrity, I apologize, especially to him.

Apology accepted derryb and I should as well. I kind of took it personal when, like you said, it really wasn't about you or me. It was about that site. It's a decent tool to use I suppose, it's just that I have seen others, some are Facebook related, and there is no accountability in what people say. I assocated the two types as the same and I'll concede that maybe they are not. I apologize too. Struck a nerve I guess lol.
