Cross results and Trueviews
Got my cross over quarterly special results and Trueviews in yesterday. What’s the point without sharing!! Two ICG crossed at grade. One ANACS upgraded from 50 to 53, while two other ANACS DNC.
As some general statements, I’m 3/3 lifetime crossing IGC pieces. I’ve done horribly with the ANACS small white holders, with the image immediately below being the only one to upgrade, and I would imagine at least a half dozen downgrades or DNC under my belt. The first generation of ANACS blue holders are an entirely different matter, with five upgrades and one straight grade on a half dozen submissions. Needless to say, I keep an eye out for those. Now, back to the most recent submission…
First one was ANACS 50, and the original intent was to crack and add to my 7070, but at this point I see going in the total opposite direction and re-slab the pieces in the 7070 for a registry set. Live and learn
This one was purchases ICG63, with reverse facing front. The reverse toning is nicer than depicted in the Trueview. I wanted a Carson City for the 7070 and this was the least expensive way I could think of.
Finally, there is the piece that was destined for my WLH set, with the earlier/better dates in VF. I am still debating whether this could ever be a raw set. All but about a dozen slots have been filled in the album, and all but the 21-D has been purchased, but for any number of reasons I can’t bring myself to crack those out. I figured if the pieces have to get sold at some point, this would do better in PCGS plastic.

Wow. All 3 are very nice but that 76 Seated half has the perfect look in my opinion!

Well done - I love both the halves!
What did the walker grade? Looks XF40, but could see the host giving it a 35.

Regarding the Morgan, you can email them via the very bottom of this page (TrueView Link) to see all the photos they took of that coin, and pick whichever obverse and reverse photo you want to better capture the colors.
Got to love these boards. I big shout out to oih82w8, who reached out to inform me the seated liberty half is a variety PCGS attributes: 1876 50C MPD FS-303 (FS-007.3). I was able to call customer service at PCGS, have them pull this coin back from the order, and have it go through the variety attribution process, with no extra shipping costs to me. Still have to pay reholder fee, invoice fee, and attribution fee (half off this order!!), but all of those together add up to about the cheapest shipping increment that PCGS offers.

Great looking coins! I especially like the 1876 half! Would be perfect for my 100 year birth type set when you get done with it!
That '17D Walker is very nice....Saw some commerce in trying times... Cheers, RickO
I feel better knowing that your 1876 is being attributed. She sure is a beauty! ...nice variety too...yours will be the third listed in CoinFacts for the variety and will be the plate coin too. Second only to a MS62 (no image of her). Congrats!
