@pointfivezero Skies the limit these days, like the black NGC's this seems like a lot of money. That said it might cost $7k to fill your gas tank this time next year at the rate we're going so that would certainly make this purchase look like a bargain!

True that! Here in California, we are not far off….

Just realized it's been about 2 years since I updated the first post... oops sorry everyone... guess I have another project
Pretty shocked how much these have gone up in value... but the demand seems to be there. I've had a few of these over the years, not too recently though, I was selling them under $1k but still well over the normal slab price at the time. But from the sold listings on my website, I get people regularly contacting me to see if I have any other white label rattlers that I'd be willing to sell. I thought we already reached the limit on these a year or so ago... but I guess the sky isn't the limit... maybe not even the moon given these "moon money" sales lately!!!
(Or do the painful approach of searching Stacks and HA for all the potential serial numbers to see what comes up?)
I doubt it is in a white slab. When they refer to first generation they only mean rattler. Not white rattler.
The above link is from PCG’s cert page for the 1080596 on the white registry list: https://www.pcgs.com/cert/1080596 so I assume that is accurate and this is a white slab.
I agree with @USARarities.
The one "can I buy your coin" post among the 6 pages of non bst posts on a census thread really shouldn't derail the thread to bst.
Thanks
@PCGS_Moderator I agree with @Sandman70gt & @USARarities as well. One random out of place question shouldn't cause this informational thread to be sent to BST. Please restore it to it original place.

This is not usually a BST thread. It should be back in the general US Coins forum. Many of us use it as a resource for known/new coins in these old holders.
Thank you
Thanks moderator and all who weighed in on this topic. Also a lesson about keeping our discussion on point to the intended topic of the post, particularly when it comes to BST related dialogue. - Chris
Posted the $2.5 a few years ago - it was in my box of 20 white rattlers.

Is there any ceiling on the price of these white label rattlers? This one sold on GC tonight. I don't see this in the census:

And you have to wonder what this Gen 1.2 "108" (non White Rattler) sold for on ebay...
@JasonRiffeRareCoins ? Dunno if he's active. I'd sure love the data since I have a $10 gold in a 108.

Thought I got lucky.
Just bought an unattributed 1961 DDR Franklin proof with slab number 06702.67/1083714 PR67.
Nice pick up, but it isn’t a white label.
I know it's useless for census purposes but those 108s are also going for a premium now. Really nice pick up @kdaniel1001
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."
Insane, same with @illini420, I thought we'd maxed out at $+500 on common date Morgans.
That's a nice double eagle but not a white label rattler. Needs to be in the 1080xxx or 1081xxx cert range.
Anything with a 108xxxx prefix is hot in today's market though.
Thanks for posting!
Tim
@ pointfivezero That looks like a white label to me. The highest cert number with a white label is 1082378.
I think it is a Gen 1.1 White Label.
Color me corrected. Certainly won't argue with 86Saab or Chris....
Congrats @mcarney1173. Great find!
Tim
I guess the 1082663 I bought recently was much closer to the white label generation than I initially thought:
Tim
Yes... it is. If for sale, please PM me?
Anyone have a picture of this one in the white slab?

Maybe long cracked out though.
Yup it's a gen 1. I'm not sure where I found the picture but here it is.
Thanks @86Saab!

Not interested at selling the 1900 Morgan at this time.

This was really meant to be a census only post for the community. Not intended for BST. Can we please return it to its original purpose.
Thanks.

As others have stated, this seems like a mistake. This is a census thread and belongs on the regular US Coin Forum.
