In the process of working with my new (old) camera I ran across this coin, one of my all time favorites. Courtesy of Dimitri/@SYRACUSIAN. I'd admired this coin type years and years ago and he was able to sell me this one. It was raw when I purchased it, but as you can tell by the obtrusive white prongs it now resides in a slab. If I had a box of 20, this one would be in it.

I've gotten a few from forum members here and it makes each and every one all the more special.
One of a few from my friend @Aethelred :
From @lordmarcovan :
From @TwoKopeiki :
Tough one - lots of folks contributed to my collection over the years. How about 3?
My most recent addition from John @CoinRaritiesOnline
@Spudmasher sold me this colorful 1802 in 2012:
And an oldie from Bill @WWW . One of my first additions to the set almost 10 years ago.
8 Reales Madness Collection
Got this from @Zohar: a 1614 Teutonic 2-taler, Dav-5854, with Archduke Maximilian as Grand Master of the order.
And this too: 1599 "Wasp" taler from Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Dav-9093.

I'm calling LordMarcovan to be kind enough to post an image of a really nice Pilgrim 50c that I've recently bought from him. I'd like to see that image without its"shadow" underneath what must be a glass mirror.

@SYRACUSIAN -
The "shadowbox" image of that one is all I have, since it wasn't TrueViewed.
There is the slab image, though.
It's a great picture. A glamor shot too, which was kind of unexpected on it, but the coin overall is really nice with some original multicolor rim toning and a very pleasant tone overall. It's not my first Pilgrim, but definitely the nicest so far and I doubt I'll ever part with it.
That, a nice PCGS OGH Stone Mountain, of which I was originally clueless about the people engraved on it, but a member enlightened me and perhaps a nice Oregon in the near future are among my all time favorite silver US commems and overall additions to my side collections.

Here are a few of mine that came from forum members:
Two ancients from @SmEagle1795 -
Ancient Greece (Thessaly), silver "Rhodian Mercenaries" drachm struck by King Perseus of Macedon, ca. 175-170 BC

From @Aethelred-
England (Anglo-Saxon): silver penny of Aethelred II, struck ca. 997-1003 AD
Not from a forum member, but since it's similar to the full thaler that @EVillageprowler posted, I'll share it-

From @ryarmch-
Great Britain: gilt proof halfpenny of George III, Soho Mint, 1806

Here's my 'Zohar' pedigree--and why I've been grumbling at him under my breath. In the best way possible. I LOVE this coin.
Unfortunately (or fortunately in a way) I realized part of my nascent photography skills have been getting limited by the fact I don't always wear my glasses. Even with the tethered blow up shot on my laptop it turns out my eyes are not what they were at that distance. My new glasses will be ready tomorrow and I can go back and fix a few of the fuzzy shots.
Anyway, this one is another of my 'box of 20 if I had one' coins. There are more coming as I find them to photo them. You are all waaayyyy more organized than me!

I do believe all of these are from rwyarmch.
From Twokopeiki -- same coin but different photo from the one I posed in the North/South American Coins thread.
This one came from a forum member back in about 2007-2008 and was one of the first coins I bought for my 1909 set:
Michael Kittle Rare Coins --- 1908-S Indian Head Cent Grading Set --- No. 1 1909 Mint Set --- Kittlecoins on Facebook --- Long Beach Table 448
Again with my fuzzy eyes (still waiting on my glasses...), but here is a really old one from LordM. Okay, the coin is old, but it's from several years ago, with the tag he sent.
Another Zohar coin to add to the list.

From EVP:
Truly thankful it was offered, this is the real gem of my chopmark collection. Ridiculously nice condition considering it took a boat trip to china and picked up a couple of nice chops along the way. Thanks again EVP.
I'm truly glad you like it. It soothes the wound knowing it went to a fellow collector (and generally a good guy too) who appreciates it instead of a dealer who just sees a way to make a buck.
For those who aren't up on their US Seated Half coinage, the 1855-S is a semi-key date, and at this quality level is also a condition rarity. And, it has great eye appeal. Truly a trifecta.
I don't know if I ever told OD, but this coin was on display at a Seated-fest in Baltimore several years ago, and QDB actually studied this coin for several minutes before moving on.

Didn't know about the QDB story, thanks for sharing. He mentions a coin that fits this description in his silver dollar book, I've always wondered if he was referring to this coin.

From @coffeyce (I presume) on ebay. It was a real auction and I hope he was happy with the price. I would have liked it a bit lower but I really wanted one nice example in a slab to use as a baseline as I accumulate more of these.
Yes that one was mine. It was a second coin. I kept the other one and sold that one. I hope your happy with it. Ive sold off alot of my other sets UK and other countries with a few exceptions to pay for and focus on my daughters chinese sets. Putting together a empire/republic set copper and some silver 1889-1949.
