You must not have a CRO hat, or really even seen one.
I have seen the hat, and John offered me one a few years ago. I declined because I don't wear baseball style caps and often don't wear a hat at all.
The logo is attractive; the colors are neat; and it's true that it doesn't say anything about coins; but some crooks are smart. They can catch some unusual signs and know "where the money is."
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
During escrow, the seller's broker for our recent home purchase told me that he was glad to be doing business with a fellow Croatian. (I'm not). Confused, I asked him why he thought this was the case. Turns out, when we first met, I was wearing a CRO hat, and he assumed from the letters and a brief look at the crest, that I was wearing something to show off my heritage.
I'm not sure if he gave us any special consideration due to his assumption, but the next time I have a need to masquerade as a Croat, you can guess which hat I'll be wearing.
A thread about a hat and I read it. I throw out about 30 hats a year when the hat is covered in white salt lines from sweat. They are from cat, heritage (not the auction but who would know) to zip. Pay the postage and I will send on. I will even run them thru the dishwasher and use cascade on them. Time flies but years ago at the Houston money show Anaconda was giving out coffee cups. The show was about over and you could have a case of them cause he did not want to haul them back. They always say hats advertise and now CRO may have exposed themselves to another 200 potential customers and more to come over the years because of this thread

@ricko said: @CoinRaritiesOnline.... that was funny.... Now, I would wear one of your hats while shooting...Do I really have to buy a coin to get one??? Cheers, RickO
They are all tarnished! It's now more than three minutes, but it was worth it. I see some of us can't see a humorous thread and put too much thought into it. Buy a coin - get a hat.
I have several and wear them regularly but you can only use so many hats........now, if he came up with a purple and gold one, I would buy a coin just to get one!

I guess I read it twice thinking I had missed something!

I choose the hat according to circumstances. For example, when I have to visit the emergency room I wear this one. The waiting room clears out.
When I must carry valuables I take my dog (see avatar) and wear this one.

Yeah, and not one person asked to see the coin I got with the hat. Hahahahahaha See how serious some got, over telling me I'm too serious about a hat
