Gorgeous '48-S !!! You just don't see the S-mint '48 with color like that very much from double mint sets, now the '48 p & d can tone very nicely with neon greens/reds.
This wasn't in my collection long. @grip saw it, then twisted my arm really, really hard (ow!) until it fell from my grasp and somehow rolled into an envelope and mailed itself to his address. I'm still baffled by the who!e turn of events.

Definitely thinking about getting this one graded one of these days.
Love the toning on this one. The blue toning is unique and love the way it looks in hand.
I really enjoy finding neat end of roll toning on the earlier years of the washington series, this one is pretty.
Please read rule #5. Keep the unhelpful negativity to yourself.
On a positive note, here's a tough date to find with color -- 1976!
Funny thing is , down the road some of the clad Washies will be rarer in high state than the $ilver issues.

That's a killer 1949-D Tom!

That's a great Bicentennial, david3142. That design really takes me back to being a kid and having the first circulating commems issued.

Loving that trio, PCcoins. The 1951 is quite unusual with the color and intensity on the coin; I don't normally see that with this issue.

Just added a few to my set, including this one. Take a look if you like.

Your MS67DCAM 1967 SMS is awfully cool, but that 1964-D Type C is really something as well!

Love the look of that 1952-S! In my experience, the 1950-1952 S-mint issues have, on average, the best luster in the WQ silver series.

1939 P, from a generous board member
This is the prototypical "nice" 1965; weakly struck by tired dies, but most of them were far worse.
Curiously now days one mostly sees either the few Gems that were saved or bad examples rather than one like this.

That 1959-D is interesting in that it has toning reminiscent of 1948-1949 US Mint Set coins.
