I have about 50 of Dan's products, all still in flips. So far none have exhibited any sort of toning. I think it might be the result in living in the dry central valley of California.
What is the climate like in the area where these toned Carr items are?

Some ICG coins may be accurately graded but have not been accepted as equal of NGC and PCGS standards. Having been stung on some ANACS coins I know why they trade for far less money most often. Also consider that CAC will not accept those coins for verification for a variety of reasons. Most likely reason is its a waist of time for them because few would ever sticker.
Am I happy with PCGS? Yes. Do I like NGC? Not really I don't buy anymore NGC holdered coins. This is just my personal opinion. Do I like ANACS? Yes. Do I like ICG? Yes. I like the feel of their holders. Bottom line is spend your money how you want. I do trust Grandam and his word.

I think DC states somewhere that they will be struck slightly Broadstruck so you can see some of the original coin below.
Or something very close to that. On my reverse the IN GOD WE TRUST is slightly doubled or, you can see the original
slightly above his strike.

I don't really know if this is some of the original coin visible, or legit double struck. It is so pronounced I am thinking double struck. I will wait for an expert to chime in. Regardless, I love it!

Oh my, Double Wing Tips and the lettering, ERICA, way cool. I know you're happy JW.
I like the color on your Dollar Finger too.
I also like the design of the owl....sign of things to come I hope.
I bet we can polish the fingers up a bit and then add our own coloring as jwitten did nice stuff! I don't think they come from factory like that. Get one of those nice holders for bigger items I seen that posted here on some past post's.

Jwitten so NCG will holder the Daniel Carr coins? That looks snazzy even though I don't care much for NGC or is that your handy work?
They are just self slabbed. The holder is ngc style, which I like because it shows the original edge. Also, I'm not sure why my finger feeder picture made the punches look colored.. I think it was just a goofy reflection.
>
I really like this slab. I thought DC was going to stop at 55? But now I see 57.
I should have tried to order 1 more way back then.
Yeah, he said 55 at one point. Hopefully 57 is it. I had a hard time finding a slab to fit just right... this one is a bit big. I had to add some small soft plastic against the prongs to make it secure.
Got my $20 Double Eagle today.
Beautiful coin, I have owned a few in the past but nothing over MS64.
This coin is flawless, I wish I had ordered a couple more.
Off it will go tomorrow with 22 other DC pcs to be graded.
My photos do not measure up to others on this forum but here they are.
My lighting is casting shadows and making some areas look dark but the coin is Beautiful.
Real nice so on this forum 18 people are still waiting ! and the hold up is Right now I'm working on getting more Braided Hair half cents so I can continue production and resume shipping the remaining orders.

I had to over-strike some of them more than once to get the "1934" date to be strong.

All but one of the "1934" Saint-Gaudens over-strikes have been shipped.
That particular order also includes a "1858" Braided Hair over-strike.

Maybe @renman95 can take better image of the obverse but to me
All the stars on the lower right side of the coin has the same doubled look.
Kind of what an of centered broads tike looks like.

Sorry no pics, but, I'm thrilled with my 1934. I supplied my own 1908 NM. No ghosting on the obverse !
Slight ghosting on reverse lettering, "OF AMER".
Love the (Moonlight) Mint Luster . Cartwheeling Gold Beauty.
DC creations are fun to display in different ways. Quickslab 41mm capsules are a good fit for 1.5 oz. Owls if you are looking for alternatives to filps, ANACS, or ICG.....

In my experience: ANACS conservation does not address toning.

Nice except for that UFO you captured. You may want to notify Project Blue Book if it's still active.
1934 paired with a 1914 & 1924.

DC, the ‘1934’ appears to be darker than my business strike Saints (1907-1928). Why is that?
