The HSN coin show starts back up this weekend so there should be new videos talking about the coins they are issuing.

Purchased this on eBay just recently.

    .
Listing was "Moonlight Mint Daniel Carr 1884-CC Cancelled Dies 2 oz silver medallion"
Seller item description: "Neat item, I don't know the history on it."
    .
We know that in 2021, Dan produced 17 cancelled die strikes on 50mm 2oz bead-blasted blanks, using 1884-CC cancelled dies bearing 37 on each shank - die pair 37.
    .
However, in the late 1990, Don Schmitz also used cancelled CC mint dies to strike 48mm , 2oz blanks, minting 170.
    .
Both the Schmitz and the Carr look very similar. You can tell which is which simply by looking at the cancelling X marks and orientation. (There are other differences...see comparative photo in the article linked below)
    .
While Dan use die pair 37, Schmitz used 1884-CC obv die with 38 on the shank, and paired it with an 1878-CC die. All of the dies in both instances where likely among those found by Dennis Casinelli when doing excavation work for a new Nevada State Museum parking and patio area.
    .
Read more in this article that I wrote back in 2022: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRYewBCZT6QSgjJ2W9CLrGMPgNzozFnmVsuPsFumXnUshiF7kl1EMjZS-eJrd5JI_BVmyVKL7wSM2Q2/pub
    .
The eBay listing was wrong - this was a Schmitz piece, but I knew it. The Schmitz cancelled die strikes rarely become available, and I know of none of the 50mm/2oz versions that Dan did becoming available since they were originally sold.

    .

I saw that one and I was watching it (hoping the price might come down).
I thought about buying it since the price seemed like a pretty good deal.
But I decided not to because I have one already.
I think I also have a uniface (obverse only) one on a 39mm copper blank.

DVR'd the CSN two dude's infomercial clip today.
10K~ish mintage is their goal. No mention of next 3 upcoming 250th offers.
$650 for 3 and another 10% off and free delivery.
    Daniel is a ROCKSTAR !

I can envision new collectors of Carr Fantasy Coin Art entering the hobby due research concerning items sourced during 250th festivities.

I see a video, well 7 now, and I just want to buy me up some goodies !

Just got my 1776-2026 Overstrike....like literally...I'll post a few crude pics after I look ...Apologies for the crudeness....I have to say, with that Minuteman 'Privy' fully struck, that is a really really nice look! Although, I do have a query...Mr. Mezack did say they were only an HSN thing (correct me if I'm wrong, nut they're also being presented on his other 2 venues, which are CSN (on their History Channel latenight/early AM shows) as well as their AVC presentations Tu-Th 'primetime'......matters not, mine's a good looking coin, and I'm very happy with it........and that Minuteman being fully struck, yeah, that's sharp.....the mint really did drop the ball on this....thanks Daniel, for filling the void the Mint left open again (the '09 proof debacle comes to mind)

I just got mine, umm, I don't see Dan's name anywhere. No attribution.

How are new collectors going to follow the "Carr Fantasy Coin Art" if his name isn't anywhere to be seen?

I don't have one, yet, but if you look on back there's tiny text mentioning Carr. Maybe the hologram sticker is covering it ?
