Since your joining the CU board, what story has been the most relavant.

For me, since I have only resided here a short time, it is the discovery of the 1919 dime doubling. After so many years of slumber this discovery came to light. But since I am biased toward errors and Mercury dimes this was an easy selection. What were yours and why? And what do you think the impact, if any, did your choice make on the hobby/business as a whole?

    I still think one of my favorite all time threads was the guy who had all the trash cans full of wheat cents and the sweet car in his garage. I still can't believe he had all those copper cents sitting in his garage.

    As far as my collecting interest, I really like the bust quarter mega thread that Billet7 put together.

    Far and away the 3 Mega Barber Threads.
    Followed by the Bongo Bongo thread. I printed off 4 pages before it was bammed. There around somewhere.

    After almost sixteen years on this forum (and quite a while on the previous one), I cannot possibly select one story/thread as the most relevant.... there have been many of interest - discovery coins, treasures found, weird members etc., etc., etc.... Cheers, RickO

    There was a forum member that was caught artificially toning white silver coins that were already slabbed in PCGS rattler slabs which are not airtight. Some of the forum detectives found these same coins in earlier auction catalog pictures where they were blast white with no toning proving that they were ATed within their slab.

    I still remember Fred Weinberg posting that he accidently threw away a $4 gold Stella. It's now in a landfill somewhere.

    This was the first thing I thought of when I read the OP's question. If you want to stick to a stricter definition of "relevant," I would recommend the many threads following the legal battle over the Swift 1933 $20 gold coins.

    Obviously, the Barber Mega Threads have meant a lot to me.
    There would've been only one Super Mega Thread if not for
    our host's website not being able to handle the volume.

    Since I started the third ( and hopefully, final ) Thread
    things have gone very smoothly.

    I also had a few chuckles over the Bongo Bongo adventures.

    BongoBongo wasn't really relevant, but it sure was a fun night.

    I also remember a thread about a guy who was buying problem ANACS coins on eBay, cracking them out, and selling them raw as problem-free. It turned out he was doing the same thing on my site, and we gave him the boot. Apparently he made a bunch of posts about me, my site, and other individuals and the mods deleted them before I could read what he said.

    The most educational thread I think was about the guy who paid something like $70K for a 53 S FB Franklin in MS 66 because it was a pop 1 coin, only to have another one made I think within 12 to 18 months. He sold his coin and I think lost 1/2 his money.
