Happy St. Paddy's Day

Post an Irish coin, a green coin, or a coin purchased while under the influence. I'm going to the St Patrick's Day parade in Dublin with my four year old tomorrow. Should be fun!

Green (Green Irish in an OGH, three for one)
I was probably drinking when I pulled the trigger on this one, or at least I had a drink after I wrote the check:

That is one of the nicest gunmoney pieces I've seen, Boosibri.
Thank CRO for that one, I picked this MS62 up at the last Dublin show.

I'm Scottish and apparently the Scots and Irish don't like each other.
I was born 15 minutes after midnight on March 18 which made grandma happy because she didn't want a grandson who was born on St. Patrick's Day.
The only green I have is a CAC sticker.

When I was younger we'd do St. Patty's day (and everything else) hard and heavy---FULL BORE! We'd go early in the morn' for 'kegs and eggs'. LOL Then we'd nurse a hangover all the next day.
I'm older and mellower, now, so my woman and I will likely just go out for a nice corned beef and fried potato dinner.

In 1966 I was living in California and had been ordering coins from various foreign banks and mints.
I ordered two of the Ireland 1966 Patrick Pearse 10-shilling silver coins from the Central Bank of Ireland,
they were sent to me via registered mail, and arrived in California on June 6, 1966.
The envelope they came in:
The note which came with the coins:

VERY proud of it.... Nice coins in this thread...Cheers, RickO
I spotted a couple of 1990 ECU Irish coins in Proof last week -
needless to say they are on their way to me to be included in
a three piece set - 50 ECU - Gold { I have an ANACS PF 68 }
and now have the 10 & 5 ECU Silver Proofs.
I have "copied" another 50 ECU - as I can't find my images:
If possible, I'd like to have a three coin holder so I can display all of these coins conveniently -
As I am not concerned about a Registry standing - which TPG is still making Multiple Coin Holders ??

Here's one I got. For a 5 center I thought the color was unusual in a way that I like.

I would just like to take this opportunity to repeat my preference... Green folding money... FRN's in today's vernacular.... IMO green on coins is not a good thing.... Cheers, RickO

Kennedys are my quest...
No paddy fingers now. Not 100% sure what that means. I am watching the Quite Man right now. I am forced to watch it every St. Patrick’s day and each time I wonder once again what that means. It’s G rated movie so that limits the possibilities.
If its anything like in the South Park episode last nite, I think its if you see someone not wearing green, you pinch 'em. 1st time I ever heard of that tho.
But whadda I know? I got the luck of the Polish. Tickle me kielbasi.
TIME WARP thread! The 5 years leap ahead is a bit startling.

I didn't really know about it myself until some years back, when Eric Li Cheung gave a presentation to our coin club.
