I think that it will continue to snooze. The "new" commemative half dollars are about as popular as a disease. Have you ever seen an ad from a dealer who offering a complete set of them or a lot of print ads for them? I haven't.
That's not to say that there aren't some good designs in the series. Some of them are very nice. The trouble is all but two of them (the silver 1982 Washington and the Bill of Rights) are made of clad copper-nickel, and the interest just isn't there.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Maybe in 4 years we will know the official mintage? By then will the economy still be chugging along? Will another low mintage pop up due to no one buying except the " low mintage" chasers?
I do sort of like the lady on the Marshalls Half. She has a certain attitude I find to be interesting, a certain dignity that is rarely seen.
These are still available for $20 on eBay. This year's national Park half-dollar will be $7 more per coin. Dead aftermarket, high prices, poor design and no interest will probably mean the National Park unc halves will top out at 27,000 unless they actually sell them at the parks themselves.

Did anyone keep track? Could be a sleeper.
The problem is that it may stay asleep for a very long time.
