NEWP Scarce Hanging Man token with a twist

Actually a big bad cud..........I collect these by variety and the break only added to the drama of this piece.

this one here looks to be quite well preserved
that cud at 1st looked like it was a chunk out of it but looking closer...yup quite the cud there
stunning example
even looks proof on the side opposite the guy dangling in the noose
<< <i>Is that area raised or is it below the surface? If it is below the surface of the piece, it is a lamination, not a cud. It looks like it is below the surface in the photo. >>
the optical illusi8n factor for numismatic images never ceases to amaze me (or fool me, including my own images); it is a cud.
.
Should this have been noted as an error coin?
Or....should I say the church has been covered up
A very nice rare pairing with the turnstile obverse.

Indeed. What a great token. I have owned both obverse and reverse, on two different tokens
Definitely a cud. Note weakness on obv.
<< <i>Don't know that obverse at all.
Definitely a cud. Note weakness on obv. >>
A massive cud indeed ; )

I am looking for DH 836 and DH 1108 for my collection. I would gladly offer a finders fee.
Ya gotta pay the fee, they just don't give it out.

That is really well preserved. I don't know a lot about them but 15 years ago or so I won a raffle at my local coin club meeting and went up to pick out something from the case and this was by far the most interesting.

To this day, it's one of my favorite pieces.

Both of those are very cool. Hope to own one someday.
Awesome token
Latin American Collection
Great token - love the die cud. I have a few, always looking for more, one of my favorites (hangings) within the Conder series:
This must be an early Gold Shield coin because it looks like it had the photo scan, and not a TrueView taken.
The Hanging Man coins have always intrigued me. I do not have one, but each time I see one posted, I think... "Got to get one of those." One day, I will....
Cheers, RickO
Diggin' it. I had one of those maybe 10 years ago, but it was a super gem.
