Honestly, its getting really old reading a bunch of BS by a bunch of old grumpy men.
Even though I don't agree with everyone's investment philosophies, opinions disguised as facts, economic theories that make the FED look intelligent etc, I still respect the fact that they are taking time out of their life to post it here and assist me in developing my own thoughts and opinions. I think I have disagreed and agreed with every major poster in the PM section but never once did it become personal or resemble any form of an attack.
I am very happy that I found this place many years ago. I was a lurker for a number of years until I decided to join. I wanted to be a part of the conversation, to be able to ask questions, to answer other questions and to overall have a great place to hear some interesting theories, investment ideas and get a pulse on the markets. In the past year, maybe more, this has started to fade and I find myself really frustrated having to read a bunch of BS to get to an actual discussion.
If things dont change soon, we may find our numbers even smaller than they are right now.

And how would you feel if you were unjustifiably attacked I wonder? You'd just let it go, right? Sorry, I don't subscribe to the approach of letting my name getting unjustifiably drug thru the mud and not do anything about it if I'm able to.

For those who don't read the whole threads...I did an act of kindness for derryb, because I wanted to. I was then mocked by gsa1fan for doing so. I responded with what was deserved after not only this latest insult from him, but scores of others that I just let go. Some members felt it was too much, (remember, after I made a donation...has anyone ELSE?) I stand by firm that it was provoked and well deserved. I continue to be bashed now by another, the one that said, when someone shows their true colors, believe it.

Just by reading Tulving's Coin World "investment packages" ads in the mid-1980's I knew he was not someone to be trusted. But he was literally "loved" around here as the gold market heated up and provided tight margins to bullion buyers. I'm sure Bernie Madoff provided "tight margins" too. Still, a leopard doesn't easily change their spots. It didn't take any brilliance or even a PhD to come to the right conclusion about Tulving....just common sense. This guy was in our own backyard too.
