I just got my Commercial Pilot's License... wahoo!

For those who haven't ever figured it out, I rather enjoy aviation. Today marks 7 years 11 months since I got my private license, and yesterday, I got to the next level and took (and passed) my commercial pilot checkride, which means I can now get paid to fly (though I don't have any plans to). In coin terms, I've gone from being a collector who can only buy and trade to a full-fledged dealer who can sell and make a profit.
While coins and airplanes may not always seem like an obvious mix (to be fair, everything goes with airplanes as far as I'm concerned), I have had the enjoyment of flying with quite a few board members. My first "real" long solo flight when I was a student pilot took me to go see TomB where we enjoyed a few hours of show-and-tell. John Agre of CRO fame was my first-ever passenger, along with his son. And scattered through my logbook are quite a few more coin names... all great flights where I've gotten to talk about one passion while enjoying another. One of my most memorable flights (which ended up meeting a specific distance requirement for the commercial license) was a flight from Seattle to Reno and Lake Tahoe, where I got to overfly the Carson City Mint (more pictures from that flight here:
I've been meaning to do the training for a while and finally hunkered down and got it done. It's a nice feeling to have it out of the way, and now I have time to go back to my regularly scheduled coins after a few weeks of doing pretty much nothing but work, fly, and read.
Blue skies and tail winds, my friends!

<< <i>Great! Now move to SRQ and we'll start up a commuter service to 3 or 4 other Florida cities. Play coins on the off days. Congratulations Jeremy! >>
You could make bucks flying people in N Fla down south
So, When is the stunt pilot going to come out?
I never took anyone for a ride commercially . . . but I took a lot of underwing accoutrements along for partial rides . .

Congrats on a very worthwhile accomplishment .
Don't know much about planes except that riding in them makes me ill. While being Airborne ( during my Army experience)
that was good motivation to unass the Aircraft.
Ah those were the days.
Hey you ever consider joining the Army? I'm sure they'd let you go to Rotary Flight School, since you're already licenced.
You could be flying an Apache - raining down Hellfires on the Taliban. Or maybe flying a Blackhawk would be more to your
liking.
Laurie sometimes needs a relief pilot on her Gulfstream. . . .
Let me tell you....pretty scary
Congrats!

I still remember when you flew into the local field near me here in CT so we could do some biz.
