<< <i>Embarrassing for numismatics that these exist >>
Why? These are silver rounds not numismatic coins? Have you seen some of the designs out there on silver rounds? Now those are an embarrassment to silver rounds! 😂 But people buy them and good for them it's their money to spend (or waste) as they want.
<< <i>Novelty rounds..... attracts a segment of collectors.... Cheers, RickO >>
They may be "novelty" items, but at least they aren't marked up much over spot price (unlike the "novelties" of another private minter who shall remain nameless )... >>
You talkin 'bout the US Mint? >>
And Perth Mint . . . and Royal Canadian Mint, although they aren't private. In fact these are very fairly priced compared to the over priced over hyped junk put out by other private & public mints IMO . . . And definitely different ! ! !

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set: 1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S. Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
A novelty. Fun to collect. But still silver - selling at small premium over spot.
I admit, I have them too. And I also have Christmas rounds since 1983.
Well, you never know, all my extra Christmas rounds were sold for scrap when silver was $46/oz. I dont think I ever paid more than $10 a round, and many early ones for $4-$6 per (until recently).
No thanks. Collect what you want, but to me desecrating the liberty doesn't do it for me and I am a fan of TWD. I have a bad feeling the zombie presidents will be next.

That's what makes horse races...I bought the series because of it's representation of degradation.

My suspicion...You are not a fan of the "Walking Dead" either.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
This reminds me of the silver bar craze from back in the early to mid 1970s. Now all of those "error bars" at high prices and other stuff are about dead from the numismatic perspective as the figures on these "collectables."
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

TWD = The Walking Dead
As for the "desecration" of Liberty? That started with the Lincoln Cent.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The prices on these are not really that bad. With spot at $15.95 you can buy the following one ounce silver rounds for:
Current Zombuck is $18.90
U.S. Silver Eagle random year from APMEX is $21.20
U.S. Silver Eagle with W mintmark from the U.S. Mint is $39.95 or the proof version for $48.95.
Each of these will give you one ounce of silver.
So, the Zombucks aren't too pricey and they are doing well on the aftermarket. The first nine that are no longer for sale from Provident are selling on eBay for $25 to $35. And the first one, the Walker is $60 or more.
<< <i>Everyone NEEDS these When the zombies rise and the apocalypse begins, your money won't be any good. Without a huge supply of these, you'll just be at the mercy of zombies - and nobody wants that. >>
I purchased these when they where first coming out. I still have them.
Reading some of the comments from a few years ago, funny. Just a cool bullion round.
I did copper and silver. Call me a fool.

These numbers show decline from first to most recent, but there seems to be a defined collector base. This was a fun, cheap set to accumulate.

<< <i>I got The Saint coming in the mail!
Ordered my silver saint over the weekend.
I have the first eight (8) copper rounds in dead and undead versions.
Do they offer the silver in un-dead or pre-zombie state?
