    OMG !!!

I logged in thru the lap top -

Here's an image that Mike V took for me...

No idea what it'll be - I've been posting on
    other web sites...

    image
This coin now resides in a PCGS 62 Holder - and has been sent to the Bean Factory for their approval !

Thought I'd get as many Quarter images out there as I can before the web site fails me again ! These are the new images Mike Valente took for me.
I have to applaud him his efforts - and I owe him a great debt of gratitude.

    This is my 1892-P - Ty. 2.

    image

I cracked this out of an NGC 58 holder - submitted it raw - and received this back as an AU 58

    image
    image

One of the nicer 95-S's in AU that I have seen...
    image

    image
    image

Finding this coin in AU is darn near impossible !

    image

Although I have a great looking 1905-P in PCGS 58 - CAC - I loved this coin when Liz Coggan showed it to me. I cracked it out and it returned as an AU 58. It is now at CAC.

    image

    image

This NGC 60 [ CAC ] looked nicer than the grade listed - I cracked it out - submitted it raw - and its now a MS 62 At PCGS

Here are the True Views of the 1907:

    image

    image

    image

    image

    image

A decent coin that was just CAC'd !
    image

I'm still thrilled with this 1909-S - and yes, I know, I have posted it a few times !
    image

The date 09-S in AU is pretty scarce - and this is the only AU I have seen in ages. I actually bought this 53 after the 63 !

Okay - Its time to show a few Nickels now.... before this fizzles on me...

This has to be my 7th or 8th 1889 Nickel - Its my Grandfather's Birth Year - I bought this off a friend's auction at Jan. FUN, 2015 Thanks again, Srotag !!

Adding insult to injury - I downloaded every Barber Half that I had imaged.

Took some time - and every second I thought the whole thing would fall apart.

    { Based on my recent experiences here }

One of the coins - an 1897-P in XF 40 had a cryptic bad word in it. F"X"G.
So, nothing came up. That was the better part of an hour thrown out the window.

It seems I can't do that without taking down my older retired set.

    Beautiful coins, Mike! image

You owe it to Valente to make those beautiful photos available to the Public by publishing albums for both your regular and Everyman's set! image
    I love them Barber Halves.....
  • MFHMFH Posts: 11,720 ✭✭✭✭
    Jeff,

It's a long story, but, when this website allows me to gain access again, I will ,
be able to add these beautiful images directly into my Registry Sets ( as well
as my EVERYMAN sets ) .

Every so often, I try and gain access and some of the times, it's not a problem.
After I posted all the images , I tried to send a PM to the Photographer, but the
system crashed (again) so, I just gave up.

Believe me, posting images on this site has become an impossible task. Once
I receive the CD for my new images, I'll try and add them to my sets. Most of
the sets have some sort of image already. These will have to suffice until I can
    get the newer images attached.

Have had computer problems the past couple of days. And don't know why. Anyway:

Mike - Nice massive run of pics.

Craig - Be happy to take pics of your 09-S. Good looking coin.

Pics for this AM, a nice coin in Doug's collection, that couldn't be improved at ANA, PC55:

    Feeter:

Very nice 1892 Dime. Love the color.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Just a word: I finally played with mirrors and
got all the Quarter and Half Dollar images up
    on my Registry sets.

Don't even think of asking for a link. It took
me hours to get them into the PCGS site -
as I still have no direct access to the site on
my Lap Top. I did what I could on my iPad !

Thanks to Valente151 for imaging the coins.

Sets are under GINJAMAX ....my two Dobermans.

Even the thought of doing the digital albums made MFH's head hurt. I'll be slowly doing the albums as I get time for him. Just wait til the old man gets his bill. imageimageimage

Let me get this straight :
Posting images here can only be done via my lap top.
( Which, again, the PCGS website does not allow me to do. )

Posting images thru my iPad is close to a nightmare.

Valente151 is pretty close to hitting the nail on the
    head. It's beyond exasperating.

He's volunteered to put together these Danscoesque
albums. Have at it, Mike V., I'm done trying.

A new Barber 50C purchase arrived in the mail today:

    image

    "Blundered", what's that?

    image

    Wow, this coin looks bizzaro!

    image

It looks like the extra metal filling the face there wasn't enough to fill the high points on the coin. I'm curious what PCGS would do with this coin raw. Thoughts?

Jeff, That is the worst case of the mumps I have ever seen! Tis hard to say how our hosts would view it.
  • JeffMTampaJeffMTampa Posts: 3,278 ✭✭✭✭✭
The coin is so freaky I'm uncertain if it's way cool or a mess. There must be others out there; isn't this a die problem (and a planchet that's too hard)?
    I love them Barber Halves.....
  • MFHMFH Posts: 11,720 ✭✭✭✭

The 1908-O is the Queen of the Mumps Variety.
It's very common placed to see this type on this date.
Dave Lawrence mentions it in his book. So, I think the
graders are aware of it and won't degrade your ICG 58.
( At least for that specific reason ) .... somewhere along
the way, I also had an AU, a 53 it's just a fond memory now !

Valente151 has been working on my Quarter Dansco Type
Virtual Album. He's not ready to publish it, as he needs to
crop some of the images that were not his. Guess he didn't
realize he bit off more than he thought. I took a sneak peek &
    it's coming along very nicely.

Jeff - That's a bad case of mumps! I know I've never seen one that bad. And if Darrell never saw on that bad, it's bad!

Vern - That 03-O quarter is about as perfect as it gets for quarters (for me). Maybe a touch darker. The 03-P looks to be nice, but also in need of an acetone soak.

Mike - Great looking half set. I've never seen that 05-O before. Is that a recent coin? Looking forward to the albums.

Here's a coin I don't think I've posted before. I bought this from Dave99B last year in an old ANACS holder. He'd probably kick my butt for cracking it out. Not a tough date, but very nice. Credit to Jeff for the photo.

I don't know why, but I found myself on the site via my lap top tonight.
I got an email that LogPotato had posted a reply on the Barber Thread.
so I clicked on to the link... and " Voila !! "

How log the system will allow me access is anyone's guess.

Now, I get to see what the Barber Quarter Virtual Album looks like.

EDIT: Forget about it - I can only get on the Message Boards - NO PM's - No Main Site
    No Registry Sets ... image

    Jeff,

I have a Sony Vaio - lap top. I access the boards easily now. { I grab the link I receive
when someone posts on the Mega Thread } - or any thread I am following [ ie: Seated]

My computer is telling me the problem lies at PCGS.

These most recent images I have posted from my Photobucket account. As long as I
can deal with this back door situation - I'll be able to post images ... unless the whole
    thing goes down the Crapper.

Yes, I think Valente151 [ who you met at FUN with me ] has done a bang up job.
I'll be sure to pass on your compliments.

I think I mentioned that I bought back a few of my old Halves:

I know where the 1898-S is - and I can have it back - once my friend Srotag upgrades the 65 with a 66 or better.

    Jeff - Good looking '89.

Justin - '93-S has just the right look, so tough to find nice, IMO.

Mike - Wonderful looking '09 dime. I'll guess 64, limited by the light slice on the portrait (all that stuff in the fields is die polish, I'm assuming).

Darrell - Since those 07-S's are yours, I'm figuriing one of them is a 58, so I'll guess our hosts called the white one a 58, and the toned one with the RPM a 55.

Mike - My friend Glen was a serious underbidder on your wonderful 07-S in 58, when HA auctioned your collection in 2011. It was a superb coin IMO.

    Vern,

The night before my auction in August, 2011, I was with Glenn Holsonbake
and I was checking the status of my lots. I was dumbfounded as to the amount
of the current bid ( just under $4000 ) and asked Glenn, what did he think a
1907-S Half was worth in AU 58 ? Can't remember exactly his answer, but it
was nowhere near the price it had already attained.

As you remember, you and your friends were sitting directly behind me during
the auction ( thank you and your friends for your bids ) but who ever bid the
    1907-S/s Half to $5,000 ( plus juice = $5,750 ) absolutely floored me. Having
Todd Pollock image my coins prior to the auction and my posting them here
was very beficial. Otherwise, the amount of the spread of the S MM
would not have been noticed - as the PCGS label had no designation on it. The
Heritage cataloguer would just as easily have missed it.

I know your friend, Glen M., was the winner of my duplicate 1893/2 Dime in 58.
I have his picture of him holding the coin at the ANA in 2011. I am also very
happy that you chose him to sell my 13-S Quarter (55) to last year. It's always
good to know where my ladies are hiding these days. Lol
