Does this have a chance at 66?

It's currently in an OGH in 65. Not that it would matter since there is hardly any price difference between 65 and 66. It has the luster for a 66, but it has a couple of hits.

<< <i>Prominent hits on Washington's jaw, the eagle's right and left legs and right wing coupled with negative eye appeal (I realize that is toning but at first glance it looks like scratches on Washington's neck!) and the soft strike lead me to see this in a 64 holder as the most appropriate grade, to be honest. Maybe seeing it in hand would be different? >>

First I have seen many 66's in holders that don't look that good, but there is NO ETF on the 1935 unless it was a new discovery in the last week or two. my guess a 65 + Nice looking coin and if you want to get rid of it I would love to have it in the Old holder in my registry. pm me.......Enjoy

If that toning is ugly, and the luster is as good as it looks in your pics. Dip it off and a 66 would be easy.

I don't think we are really seeing just how nice the peripheral tone is on this...
If dipped it would take longer to find a home as another boring white Washie.
