I know what I think, but what do you think?

<< <i>64. Maybe a shot at 64+. But not 65. >>
This is exactly what I was thinking looking at that nice CC!

I own a bunch, and it looks 63, maybe 64 by the way NGC grades them lately. Both of my new holder PCGS GSA's are now cracked back out. It was not fun while it lasted.

<< <i>Pics usually make a coin look worse technically cause of it exaggerating the hits verses what it would look like in hand. I think the coin is a solid 64
A coin the size of a pizza shows all the flaws. the luster rubbed off on the nose, eyebrow, bonnet, hair, feathers, wreath and arrows is exaggerated. the coin looks much better reduced to 25%
Everything looks better farther away (or smaller) but IMO that's a horrible way to grade. Sorry just my 2¢

<< <i>Market grading. GSA slabs carry an inherent premium, so to price them according to market, they get about a 1pt bump for 60-64 graded coins, from what I've seen. >>
Wouldn't it be easier (and more appropriate) to simply raise the values in the Price Guide? instead of giving them a better grade?
Not all Morgans are equal (in price / market value) in any grade level, so I don't understand how giving GSA's inflated grades helps this premium situation.

Do you believe the graders will actually use a glass on a large white $300 coin?
Rhetorical....

Do you have time to draw your glass in two seconds? On Morgan and Peace Dollars PCGS and NGC spend all of two seconds grading the coin and three seconds inputting the grade into the system.
