Why don't coin collectors like coins that have been cleaned? Shiny is better, isn't it? Just being facetious, but the point is that each hobby has its particular biases and preferences, many of which don't make sense to the novice.

Some of them do, actually. There are a ton of regular members on these boards that dip / clean all the time and are quite openly honest about it. I am not one of those, however, I do collect shiny proofs image

But accuracy in description/labeling is not an option. It's a requirement.

I would be perfectly fine with such disclosures but that will never happen because those who are sheet-cutting cards are doing so in an attempt to deceive the TPG as no reputable TPG including PSA will knowingly grade sheet cut cards (and for good reason, as already articulated extensively in previous posts). It's all about deception and making money, nothing more.

edit to add: BTW, I agree completely with your post.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

The OP's 1st post surely rubbed most the wrong way, then he kinda disappeared from the board.
