Probably a dozen or so. Had a lot more but they got cracked out. In hindsight, should have just left them all alone and gone for gold stickers. Who knew?
I pulled all of mine from the SDB a year or two ago, and took the first photo below, which is not the greatest. 40 rattlers in all. I haven't added or sold any since.
Here are a couple other pics that show some of them.
2, wait....... I guess just one now. I cracked the other one and did nicely! The one I have left is a common-date walker in a reasonably common grade. I don't prefer them.
One - an 1864 Large Motto Two Cent Piece in MS-65, Red. The way I looked at it, given proper storege this old red copper coin has a good chance to be stable and stay like this. I would never had bought something like this in a much more recent holder.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I have several old rattler holders and I like them for nostalgic reasons since they are the first PCGS slabs. Because so many are being destroyed they are becoming scacer and may cary a premium some day. Also, any full red copper coin in a 20+ year old rattler slab can be presumed to be stable and likely won't turn in the slab.

I think I have about 8-10, mostly low-cost nice coins, mostly for novelty. Those I bought as such for my barber mint state set are reholdered/regraded.
Maybe 30 - all collectible holders for one reason or another. The coin in them is incidental.

That's a great selection of very nice coins -- jealous I don't mind admitting to! Thanks for the pic!
Maybe 20 or so, all quarters. I too would like to get more of them, any type of quarter. In the end I hope to have a full Washington quarters set in rattlers (Silver style.)

I am attempting to put together the 1936 - 1942 proofs in rattler holders. It requires 38 coins and I have 18.
Before you get all of those rattlers reholdered, if it is a coin that I need, send a pm my direction.
