Oddly enough, not my favorite, but one it took me many years to acquire.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Favorite? Wow, that is so though. I have lots of favorites!
Okay, how about this one ... as she's still one of my favorites, and has a little backstory that helps keep her special to me.
At the time she was the most expensive Bust Half I had ever purchased ... and that caused me to cough ... twice.
She was probably was the real start of the turning point. a point where I have never recovered from.
And ... she arrived a few days before Lance and I met in person for the first time, and I had brought it with me that night for show and tell after dinner. I showed him this. He showed me some stuff, and my mind was forever blown!
I don't have very many halves but heres the ones in my type set at the moment

Cool coin, cool history- whoever found it and dug it up must have had a blast out there with their metal detectors! I believe there were more than 500 coins found?
