I read the news today oh boy. Grades have been posted. Looking forward to the numbers and will share promptly. All who bet the over (January 17) bring your tickets to the cashiers box.
I am the fourth entrant in the final four. I have a feeling we all might pop pretty close to one another. My first half of my sub was picked up today at the PO. I will post some picks later. I have gone through about 1/3 of that group. So far only 3 mechanical errors and one cracked slab. Also got a look at one of the PSA 4's that I got. I can't see any way it's not at worst a 7.5.

Well here are some pictures. This is from the first of my two subs. This sub had roughly 430 cards in it. We all know what a 500ct box looks like right, the old topps vending boxes. So that is what the normal space constraints would be.

I would say I did average. I did alright until the end where I tried some oddball perforated cards which you never know how they will grade and a few non-sports cards from the late 70's that I knew did not look that great, but I hate to not send them in after busting a few unopened packs. I got 14 Tens and 63 Nines. I suppose I'll do pretty good on that 86 Sticker gem mint rose. I have to check the pop report on some of the others. I post scans of my better stuff when I get the package.

yes there was one slabbed in the thicker holder. i pretty much know what they will slab in regular holders. this one should have made it but they do state that if they feel it will be tight they will move it to the larger holder. if it was too large they would have sent it back ungraded as this price rate is not attainable for thicker cards.
as for which ones i like the best that is kinda hard to say. i have really looked at any other than those that i think were undergraded by quite a bit. sometimes i wonder if someone enters a wrong number somewhere in data entry. two of the 4's that i got i could see as there were surface wrinkles do to the jersey pieces in the cards. the others i dont see much. i will post some scans of some cards later, probably in a month. i have some deadlines for work that i cant afford to take the time to really look at them and scan some nice ones now. though i would say i really like my 10's and 9's!!! But i will have to look back and see if there are any "hard" cards in there grading wise.

The vouchers have still not arrived with the exception of one. I spoke with PSA and no one is sure what happened to them so they re-issued them. Their records indicated they were already shipped. I was told to expect them soon.

well picked up my second order at the PO today. was surprised to see that it was in a much bigger box. i know there were more cards in this half of the sub but not by much and there was plenty of room in the first box that i thought they could have all fit. so i go and open it. last time they slabbed one card in the patch holders. this time they slabbed 50 in the patch holders, hence the bigger box. now that is 50 out of 486 cards, over 10%. i know that they can decide if they want to move them into the patch holders if they feel the fit will be tight. maybe they have some lot to lot thickness variation on the regular holders. however many of these are just barely thicker than a regular card and some are known to already reside in regular holders.
i dont have too much time to give much more on the break down of this half of my sub, though my grades were a little lower on the 9's and 10's this time around. i will post the full update when i have the chance. i will also take a picture of what the two subs look like together when i have the chance.

Once I finish going though all the boxes. First checking for mechanical errors (i.e. incorrect flips), then adding all the non ME's to my inventory and finally requesting additions to sets in which my new cards dont appear but should, I will post a pic of all of the returned cards at once.

I would say I did average. I did alright until the end where I tried some oddball perforated cards which you never know how they will grade and a few non-sports cards from the late 70's that I knew did not look that great, but I hate to not send them in after busting a few unopened packs. I got 14 Tens and 63 Nines. I suppose I'll do pretty good on that 86 Sticker gem mint rose. I have to check the pop report on some of the others. I post scans of my better stuff when I get the package.

yes there was one slabbed in the thicker holder. i pretty much know what they will slab in regular holders. this one should have made it but they do state that if they feel it will be tight they will move it to the larger holder. if it was too large they would have sent it back ungraded as this price rate is not attainable for thicker cards.
as for which ones i like the best that is kinda hard to say. i have really looked at any other than those that i think were undergraded by quite a bit. sometimes i wonder if someone enters a wrong number somewhere in data entry. two of the 4's that i got i could see as there were surface wrinkles do to the jersey pieces in the cards. the others i dont see much. i will post some scans of some cards later, probably in a month. i have some deadlines for work that i cant afford to take the time to really look at them and scan some nice ones now. though i would say i really like my 10's and 9's!!! But i will have to look back and see if there are any "hard" cards in there grading wise.
