I remember as a kid my grandpa took me to see Mickey Lolich pitch before he retired and also watch Tom Seaver so we went to a Giants/Mets DH at the 'stick(we always went to doubleheaders!) and I remember you hit a home run and the Giants lost!! I think it was the summer of 1976. >>

I guess you mean hollowing out the end of the bat to make it lighter. I umpire college and j.c. games so not much of that here. If it is deeper than 1" then it is not allowed.

I collect Byron Scott, his number is 4, and the ever just got added on sarcastically as I thought about how so many people tried to put numbers into words when signing yearbooks or made up "cute" number sayings like 2 young + 4 a 6 pack
dYtch = Nickname I got about 15 years ago after wrecking two different cars into ditches. One was due to slippery road conditions + mustang 5.0 + a younger/dumber version of me with a serious leadfoot. The other was due to exhaustion, fell asleep at the wheel in my Honda Accord. No injury to me or others in either case, thankfully. 2220 = Last four digits of the telephone number of my best friend in HS. Seriously.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

My screen name is a play on Al "mr mint" Rosen except I'm a collector on a very limited budget, so I try to collect cards in near mint condition. It's too common of a name, maybe I should change it. I have some other names in mind. Let me know if you guys have any random screen names for me! Lol
Since I was a Bronco (and a Vikings) fan, when I started playing fantasy football way back when, I saw a reference to HoofHearted and decided to use it as my team name. I also liked the literal interpretation: Who Farted??
Lot's of great stories on here about your forum names. I've enjoyed reading them. Some people are a lot more creative than I am.
76collector = 1976 was the year I was born. When I started back up collecting again 5 or 6 years ago I decided the first thing I wanted to do was build a 76 set. I've been upgrading it ever since.
I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. Collecting: post world war II HOF rookie 76 topps gem mint 10 commons 9 stars Arenado purple refractors(Rockies) Red (Cardinals) successful deals with Keevan, Grote15, 1954, mbogoman
Of course, Chiefs Fan. Then when the playoffs happen and the chiefs are sitting at home, I jump on the Steelers or Bears bandwagon. 1 of the 2 teams are usually in playoffs.
When I was in college, all of my friends called me jmac as a shorter version of my name. I am a proud graduate of Indiana University, so I added the 'iu' at the end.

Eddie Olczyk has been using HoofHearted for his Fantasy Hockey team name for years and years.
As for mine, "It's Great . . . To Be . . . A . . ." Kickoff is at 3:30pm on Saturday.

There was once a thoroughbred race horse named Hoof Hearted...it was amusing to hear the track announcer carefully separate and enunciate each word.
One of my beloved dogs, three years gone now. She was a whippet, but nearly as big as a greyhound, so I nicknamed her MooseDog because she seemed big as a Moose in comparison (also a big clumsy). Every now and then her picture appears sideways...very strange as I've never seen anyone else's avatar do that.
started selling game worn basketball jerseys back in 1991-1992, signed up here in 2001 and on ebay in 1999
jersey sources have dried up, and went back to doing what I really know....cards (mostly), still dabble in jerseys when I can, mostly minor league stuff now as the connections remain strong
figured gameusedhoop was better than what I really wanted to use....craptoidiots
I do not have a secret homo-erotic crush on a man named Ryan.....I was and am a big Nolan Ryan fan. I think the only pitcher that even comes close to his category (that I've seen pitch anyways) was Clemens, and I think he was taking enough roids to kill a small horse.
galaxy - I attended a church-affiliated university as an undergrad, and this was the "frat" I was a member of. Term used verrrry loosely, hence the quotation marks. If familiar with the guy in my sig line and/or you just drafted the Rams' starting RB, you have a slight connection as well.
Elron McKenzie was the cousin of Doug and Bob McKenzie, of "Strange Brew" fame, according to their comedy album "The Great White North". I liked the name and have used it for emails, screen names and handles for as long as I can remember.

I had never heard that before. I can just hear the announcer trying not to make the crowd laugh!
I see you signed up May 2005, too, moosedog. You, Bosox1976 and me. Cool class!

Use to be a huge fan of sport bike racing, not so much anymore. I've pretty much have been using the same username on various boards since 1998.
