Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

Wow! I can't believe I just got this in my PM... Full disclosure of all PM's on 6

WTF?

I'd like you to refund me, that's what I'd like.

You posted threads in order to pull at all our heart strings, and then once that was all done you had a buddy or an alt post a thread asking for money.

What kind of guy uses a personal loss to suck money out of people? Claiming it's for your kids college fund, then you proceed to spend thousands of dollars on cards.

I say your greedy, and I'm all about the needy.

I have given before, during, and after my wife's sickness and ultimately terrible death. And someone sends me this???

I'm sorry I've never cried broke not once. Did I need to disclose I made 6 figures for several years.

WTF, seriously, is this a joke?

Maybe I'll leave this place, I can't believe this.

That is just downright offensive...Mike, I hope you will reconsider, and take some time before leaving the boards. I don't have to tell you how highly regarded you are here, and that's a fact.

Sorry that someone sent that to you.

I get a myriad of PM's. They range from outting or complaining about other members to telling me what an a-hole I am. Some I respond to, most I ignore. In fact, I usually am a bit preemptive in adding people I don't really care for to my blocked PM list so that I don't have to bother hearing from them.

Letting someone get under your skin is what they are trying to accomplish. It is certainly fun to play with them sometimes, but in a litter box as large as this, the cats will usually cover up the turds pretty quickly. And if they don't, the smell goes away when they dry up...

Scott... that about sums it up perfectly.

To the PMer: Hey, why don't you come out and out yourself? You are obviously reading this thread, so if you have these thoughts towards Mike then why not put them out here where we can all read them? And we can all see who you are.

    Low blow!

  • People never cease to amaze me.

I have given so much here, all the box breaks hours and hours for free. Donations to charities at $250 a whack when I don't even know the person. And I'm scamming money for my kids college fund?

Sorry I had success in business. Sorry I worked hard.

    Sorry I shared so much.

The sad thing is, is I just told the board how great this person was a few weeks ago in one of the threads.

I also quit my career last year to take care of my family, my wife because I had to and wanted to. So now I buy and sell cards and raise my 3 children.

I'll give you your money back, o don't want it or need it.

Just makes me sick. My hand is the first to be extended. I ask for nothing. All I ever asked was for prayers.

I thought giving some prizes out was a nice gesture considering what so many have done here.

    Mike,

I am so sorry to see that some jealous and heartless individual would send such a deliberate act of hate your way. Clearly this person, whoever it was,
does not seem to understand the basics about getting along with each other in our society.

The only larger travesty that could come from this is if you let this dispicable act cause you to walk away from this community. Hopefully a few hours/days of
calming down and knowing that you have nearly unanimous support from those here will help you remember that there are just some people in this world
who just don't understand how to behave properly. If you let their pettiness divert you from enjoying what you like and making the positive contributions
to your peers as you do then you would be letting them "win".

    I'm here for you anytime!

    Dave
  • That's not a good message to receive.

It just blows my mind away anyone would send something that offensive. I hope you and your family are doing well since the loss.

I hope you don't leave, this board has already lost enough of the good members recently.

This is not going to go over well, but if you really are that hurt about some anonymous ahole who sent you a private message on a sportscard forum, then maybe you should not hang around on forums. I do wish you the best of luck, however.

It sounds like someone is jealous of your nice collection. You can't worry about what someone says when you have done nothing wrong.

I'm the one that sent the message. I don't feel it's right that anyone sets up a charity for himself and makes 6 figures.

    Mike,

PMs are supposed to be "'private' messages," but this may be a case where you should publish the person's ID. That was a very cold message, and I am sorry someone sent that to you.

I honestly think that we shouldn't get in the middle of this. Nightcrawler and miconelegacy are 2 people who are intelligent enough that I'm sure they can work this out in private. Lets not take this any further please and just not add fuel to this fire. Both are guys that are great assets to this board. This can get ugly and start dividing people around here.
