When I was a kid - maybe four - my family was walking down Mulberry St, and I saw these two women screaming at each other in what I believe was Italian. I had no idea what they were arguing about. I didn't understand a single word, but I could not look away. I was riveted.
It’s not as good if you have to read it.

I know dude always tried to get me to sell him cards for record lows. I can't recall if I actually did or not, but I remember always being badgered into selling a card for what would be the lowest price ever. When he realized that I had no interest in doing that - that I could easily sell it for the same high price he wanted to sell it for myself, he decided to berate and belittle me every chance he could get. I have no use for him, and nothing being said in this thread surprises me.
<< <i> Maybe just sorry grapes because you beat him to it?? Does this guy (mr.mint) collect ANYTHING, or is he basically a flipper of every single card he comes across? I mean, I flip cards too, but it is to finance my addiction on certain sets in particular. >>
Morning Bobby,
I know one of the parties involved in this, seems like a nice guy, whatever, all I see from wasting my time reading this is a Train Wreck that just never ends and a couple of Children.
But to address your statement....Whether he collects or just Flips has nothing to do with this conversation.....where do you go with that logic? I collect Non Sports and other stuff and dabble in Football and some Baseball to FLIP for a profit...period ! A large percentage of the posters on these boards fall into this mold to some degree or another. That just isn't germane to this conversation or just about any conversation, if somebody buys a card from me and flips it, or sheits on it, or burns it, or gifts it, or whatever, its None of my Business as long as they paid me!! I don't give a good flying crap if their a Collector or not as long as they just paid what we agreed to !!!

The word "badgered" definitely resonated with me as that has been my experience as well. And deleting all past comments is pretty weak.
I've sold a few cards to MrMint23 in the past, all via forum/emails, never on ebay. While he does offer a low price, he pays right away and has always been cordial to me. I usually sell to him when I need quick cash to buy something else in a hurry.
If he wants to flip them, that's his business as they are then his cards.
I haven't read this entire thread though so I'm giving no opinion on this particular situation.
There was a time a while back where I had a card on eBay he was offering on. I knew it was him offering, but he didn't know it was me selling. After 2 offers in a row of $50 via eBay I sent him a PM here at CU saying that the VCP average was $78, and 4 out of the last 5 had sold between $80 and $102.50, so please stop offering $50.
His answer was that he didn't know it was mine, and he was trying to find a starting point.
Really? Offering $50 TWICE doesn't seem like you're looking for a starting point.
Nothing wrong with flipping cards, or buying low and selling high. Sure maybe he sends out low-ball offers, but the "Best Offer" option leaves that door open, and it doesn't cost anything to ask. It's like walking up to the hottest girl in a bar if she wants to bang. Sure the answer is likely to be no (for me at least), but it doesn't hurt to ask. Sometimes twice!

Jeff,
Reminds me of a Game myself and 3 of my Roomates played in College back in the late 70's. Every other Friday night we would throw $25 (Lot of Money for us then) each into the Kitty and then go out to the local Bar together. You had to walk up to women in the bar cold and say "Hi I'm X#X#X Wanna go back to my room and Ferck?" Averages were 2 slaps, 3-5 Furikyou's, 2 thrown drinks, 2 Blank Stares, 2 Get the Frisk Away From Me Yelling, and about number #10-#15 was "Sure!" We rotated one turn at a time, first to get a Yes, got Laid and won $100 !!!!

I apologize if my words didn't translate well to typed print. What I have a problem with, is not the flipping aspect, but the beating down of a card's price so the bottom feeder can make the flip instead of the card owner. I don't mind helping people out, and the more they buy, I can work out a great deal, even to the point of losing money on a card. I don't appreciate being beaten down on a price, to the point of absurdity, just so someone else can make good money instead of me.
Sure, any links you little drunk mind can handle. >>
Well you ratted on this guy, and lied about him too. He never called Joe out.. He said he was going to "call Joe". But you twisted the words to suit your needs.
As a disinterested party, here's my take on the OP. Blackitalian violated ebay rules to begin with by going outside of ebay to do the deal, so he's lucky that a neg is the only thing he has to whine about. As to the price, blackitalian was the one who agreed to sell, so he has no right to complain about what he got for the item...and once the buyer owns it, he can do whatever he wants with it, including trying to sell it at a profit. A lot of this ire on OP's part IMO is sour grapes that the guy is trying to get $1200 for something OP lost money selling. You didn't have to sell it-and it's not his fault you needed $. So get over it. As to the neg, the buyer was likely just misinterpreting the attempt by OP to get his fees back as an unjustified attempt to give him an NPB strike. This could have been corrected amicably but it quickly got stupid... on both sides. My opinion... it's karma for going outside of ebay to do the deal to save a buck.
