Mike ... glad you had a good time. You are one die hard Ranger fan! Enjoy the game today.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Tigers get a temporary reprieve today. 90% chance of heavy rain tonight causes game to be postponed until tomorrow afternoon. Darn, now I have to miss an afternoon of work, LOL.
Just think, If not for some fine pitching by Valverde in the 9th with bases loaded and no outs, the Rangers could have had TWO walk-off grand slams in the same game!
WOW, WOW, WOW, just got home from game 2, absolute blast. Maven and I had an incredible time. We are both hoarse from cheering, chanting, yelling, etc. We did our part as fans tonight!!!! We even started out with mascara Derek Holland moustaches She looked so funny! What a fun game, I though Saturday was the funnest game I had ever been to until today/night. Unforunately, I turned my phone on video when we came up against Valverde the first time and I ran out of charge as I thought we were winning it there, so I don't have any photos of the winning celebration.
Nelson Cruz came up HUGE. Hit a homer to tie it up late in the game and sent the fans and players into an awesome celebration with the 1st ever walk off grand slam in baseball postseason history.
I think I'm headed to bed early again, I'm worn out. Rangers up 2-0 in trying to defend their AL Championship.
<< <i>I still wish the Brewers hadn't "thrown in" Nelson Cruz on the Carlos Lee-for-Francisco Cordero trade. We could've used his bat last night.
Still hoping for a Brewers/Rangers World Series. >>
I'd like to see Doug Melvin get an NLCS chanps ring too, but not the big ring.

Rangers in 5. Tigers have fun and win tonight (Tuesday) in a laugher, Rangers squeak by on Wednesday, and then absolutely blast Verlander into next season on Thursday.
Rangers play like I thought they would and get driven in Game 3. I'm not even disappointed tonight as I had the feeling they would lose. The only disturbing thing is that they let that knob Valverde get a save. (can't stand that guy)
Rangers lead series 2 to 1. Looking forward to watching them blast Verlander to win the Series in Game 5
I don't worry about Verlander at all. He'll be fine.
My concern is today (Wednesday). Porcello has pitched decent. I hope he can give then 6+ innings.
I went to Game 3 last night. The $7.50 large Labatt's were going down good. Fister was such a good trade for the Tigers. Dude is totally settling in - and he likes playing here! We were between home plate and 3rd base. We thought Beltre got hit in the nuts when he went down, but I guess it was his knee. What is his status?
Tiger injuries are mounting. Not sure if V. Martinez is in or out for Game 4.
<< <i>Mike, it looks like you and I have very similar seats. Go Tigers!
>>
Nice pics! Good luck to y'all in the series. This is one series where I don't have any ill will toward the opponents (except for Valverde, I don't like him). I just hope for both the Rangers and Tigers sake, that no more players get hurt as it will hurt the AL's chances in the big dance.
Good luck and hopefully the rest of this series will be exciting for us both.
<< <i>Mike, I just got my World Series tickets today, did you get yours? One of us is going!
-Tom >>
Tom,
Yeah, I've had mine for awhile now, if they are even close to qualifying for the playoffs, the Rangers optimistically sell their playoff and World Series strips very early on. I'm all set. Even had some extras that I sold. Hopefully I won't have to give refunds!
Mike
PS- Do you happen to have an extra stub from the game tonight? If so, if you want to, I'll make a deal with ya. If the Tigers end up winning the series, I'll send you a stub from each game they won in Texas, and if the Rangers end up winning the Series, I'd like a stub from each game the Rangers won in Detroit. Is that something you'd be willing to do?? If so, I'm in.
I'd like to get a complete run of the Rangers playoff and World Series tickets this year if they win, and get them autographed by the Rangers star of that particular game and get them slabbed by PSA for my collection.
What a game tonight. A tough battle for 10 innings and then Napoli and Nellie took care of business in the 11th. Feliz came in and wrapped it up. Another good outing for the bullpen overall. What made this win even sweeter is that they give that dipwad Valverde a big L.
Rangers magic number to win the World Series is down to 5. Need to win 1 of the next 3 to succesfully defend their American League Championship.
Mike ... I love to see die hard fans. Best of luck winning a 4th game and heading to the WS.
STAY HEALTHY!

Well, that was another rough one last night. The Tigers got more than expected from Porcello. Tigers starting pitching has been very solid. Benoit and Valverde looked fantastic until the 11th. The Tigers have NO ONE ELSE TO GO TO in their bullpen. Coke, Penny, Al Al, Perry....they cannot be trusted.
The ironic part is that those guys WILL PITCH tonight if Verlander gets in trouble. I'll be self-medicating if I see Perry running in...
I honestly think this is such a close series. Every game (except Game 3) has been a nail-biter. Etra innings TWICE. Huge amounts of runners stranded on base (more by the Tigers obviously). Decent-to-solid pitching from both staffs. Detroit's bullpen just tends to serve up those big MEATBALLS in the 11th.
Mike...if you are looking to complete a ticket run, I have a Game 3 ticket the I can send you. Section 134, Row 23, Seat 13
My prediction of Detroit in 6 is now out the window....but I still hold out hope. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't worry about Verlander. The major concern up here is injuries and lack of clutch hitting.
Should be another fun one tonight. Forecast is for rain (and heavier, steadier rain as the afternoon turns to evening)....so plan on Verlander's night getting WRECKED for a third time this postseason when they delay tonights game.
It was easy to hate NY...It's hard to hate Texas. Fun series. Tense moments, but fun games!
EDIT: Here are some pics from our seats for Game 3....
Everybody checkin out big Aretha and her skinny jeans as she belts out the anthem. Actually, she was awesome I thought.
Mike, I'd do that swap in a second . . . unfortunately I sold my game 4 tickets to a friend (I coach a soccer team locally and could not continue to cancel practice on them), so I do not have the tickets from the game the Rangers won. Maybe KeepItWarm can help . . .
Speaking of the tickets, mine are nothing fancy (they have the autumn leaves on them, but that's about it). In 2006, they were works of art. What do yours look like?
So far, I can only tip my cap to the Rangers team. They are getting the hits, making the plays and coming up big in the pen. Tigers have certainly had their chances, but have yet to deliver. Guess that is what makes the difference between two teams! Hopefully Verlander can avoid the rain, come up big and send this back to Texas. I just wanna wipe the smug grin off G-Dub's slimy face. WHY must he be a part of that team??? If all else fails, I wish Texas the best in the WS. Nolan deserves one! He was barely even a part of the '69 team......
Wow, what a BS hit by Cabrerra. All I can do on that one is smile. If that's the way the ball is going to bounce, the Rangers will just have to win it in Texas.
Beltre misses a 3 run homer by a few feet and Cabrerra gets a gift. LOL.
I bet the pucker factor in Tiger Stadium there in the 9th was pretty high, LOL.
Good job Detroit. Come on down again. We are good hosts down here. Will have to pack up the soft sided cooler with some celebration sodas to pour all over the fans in my section on Saturday. Need to find something that will "pop" or "spew" but doesn't come in a bottle so I can get into the park with it. Might have to go with some 2 liters and some Menthos tablets, that'll do the trick!!!
<< <i>I think C.J. Wilson just made some history there. How many pitchers can say that they got tagged for a "natural cycle" on 4 consecutive batters? >>
In the playoffs? None
This has been a fun series. As tight and hotly-contested as you would expect from teams that finished within a win of each other. If Scherzer can pitch well and get us to Fister in game 7, Detroit has a chance.
If the Tigers are going to do it, they must bang up the Texas starters because as we have seen their pen is mightier than their swords.... May the best team win!
Looks like my wife will be joining me tonight at Game 6 instead of Maven. Maven's a little tired. She finished her 2nd 5k in 7 days this morning up in Dallas to support my niece who has breast cancer.

Beautiful Daughter and Niece, I wish your niece a quick recovery and best wishes.
Just got home from game. What a night. Was a big party the rest of the night after the 9 run inning. Will be back later Sunday with pics, headed to bed now. Nice season Detroit. It was a heckuva series.
<< <i>Thanks for 2010, Texas. This year, it's all yours. >>
I sure hope so. I'll be happy if the Rangers win 4 before the NL team wins 4, but if the Rangers could somehow sweep, that would put us winning it on my 41st birthday with me there, that would be absolutely incredible and a dream come true as a Rangers fan. I couldn't ask for a better birthday present.
Congrats to Texas. If anybody is going to knock out my Tigers, let it be the Rangers. Half the roster for Texas played here in Spokane for their short-season "A" affiliate, the Indians. So definitely have a rooting interest in them.
Hope the Cardinals and the Rangers meet up next week. >>
Shane,
You got your wish. Congrats!
Do you happen to know Pujols autograph habits on the road?? Does he have a habit of signing at the hotel or before the games in the park, or is generally known not to sign?
I've never been a fan of rooting for the team that just beat my team...but knowing that the Tigers totally blew it against STL in 2006, I will be hoping the Rangers (gulp) can win it.
