Wow!!! Silver up over a buck already today. Any idea why?

there's a lot of overhead selling pressure at $40 for silver, and a lot of "clever" folks running ahead of this round number who will sell at 39.

That's why I've been saying we're going to see stubborn resistance in the $38s.

I also believe there is quite a bit of support at at $28, for the inverse reason: lots of folks will see a price under $30 as a relative bargain.

something will have to change, some news, IMO, or quite a bit of time, before these levels are sustainably breached

  • Kitco News) - A strong rally on Friday and persistent worries about the Eurozone sovereign debt issues are likely to keep gold prices supported into next week, with a chance to possibly test new highs.

Silver remains volatile and this will likely keep most market participants sidelined, traders said.

So, if the CONgress voted against raising the debt ceiling, why is gold down?
