I usually don't post pictures of my cards until they're in hand, but with timing and my excitement I decided to post now. jswieton was kind enough to get me Jim Brown and Roger Staubach at the national over the last couple days and they came out fantastic. The Jim Brown is my new favorite card. Today marks 1 year since the day I sent out my first TTM request. Over the past year my major task has been collecting NFL HOF rookies. I have gotten 106 of them. It has been an incredible journey and I have had a lot of fun doing it. I appreciate all the help I have gotten from members on the PSA and SCN boards and I look forward to continuing to chip away at the list of NFL HOF rookies.
That is a great Jim Brown. Brown is one of the Cornerstones of any Hall of Fame Collection. Brown is undervalued and is getting older and his signing fee is not too steep for probably the greatest Football Player of all-time.
Got Bradshaw and Young from a couple of recent private signings. The Packers mini I first started when I was about 12 when I met Herb Adderley and Willie Wood. I recently decided to send it out to a couple more guys. I was able to add Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, and Willie Davis. I was surprised that Bart Starr didn't personalize it. I would like to add Forrest Gregg and Jim Taylor, but I don't know if I have the stones to send it to em.
Been a while since I've updated this. I've gotten several cards in the last few weeks. I bought the first six from someone liquidating their collection. The others were ebay purchases except the Berman I got TTM.
Couple additions. I had the Gretzky signed at a private signing and it comes with WGA certification. The packers cards I sent TTM during the preseason. I have been getting them periodically over the last couple months. They are from a set released from Topps celebrating the super bowl victory.
Been a while since I've posted here. I recently moved in the last month and haven't gotten everything settled just yet. Here are a few pick ups I've had over the couple months. I saw the Dalai Lama speak last spring and really wanted to get an autograph from him. I looked into where I might send to him in India and decided to go for it. It is definitely one of my favorite TTM returns.
Nice Art Monk rookie - apparently he typically refuses to sign that card. I sold my PSA/DNA slabbed version on eBay a few years ago for $200 I believe...
Happy to add a few more in the past week. I finally added Chuck Bednarik on the correct card. I had originally gotten him on a 1949 Leaf when I didn't realize the 1948 and 1949 cards look identical. The card was a pain to find at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, it looks like his health may be hurting as his signature doesn't look as good as I have seen and he made an error on his HOF year putting 69 rather than 67. Nonetheless, happy to finally have him. The other two jswieton helped me out with at the sun times show.

I believe the card pictures him in his college uniform and that he was actually inducted in the College Hall of Fame in 1969.

Interesting, didn't know that. Makes me feel better about it then.
There aren't many signed Bednarik cards out there.... As a matter of fact, the toughest vintage cards to find are the 48 Leaf high numbers. That's why Leo Nomellini's rc is impossible to find signed...there aren't many raw 48 Leaf high numbers in the market and the few that are available are very expensive (which explains why so few people had them signed).
Congrats!

Collecting vintage auto'd fb cards and Dan Marino cards!!
Yeah, I've been looking for that card since I started this set, as I started with the best TTM signers. I lost a couple auctions around the $120 area in similar condition, then got lucky with this one at around $95.
Went a couple campaign events this weekend, as my state primary votes on Tuesday. I'm happy to add Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan autographs to my collection. The Slater was signed a few weeks ago at a public signing in California.

Way to go!
Only QB to ever lead the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win.
Very nice autograph.

<< <i>That is the Penn. uniform. He did that to my card as well. >>
Same here. He signs anything that depicts him in a college uniform "HOF 69" and anything in an Eagles uniform "HOF 67".
From what I've heard, his health has really gone downhill over the past year. It's amazing that he had such a strong signature into his mid-80's....
