Got a few returns today: Anthony Munoz, Ed Sabol, and Fuzzy Thurston. I didn't think there was any card for Ed, so I just sent some index cards last week because I had a feeling he was gonna get in the hall over the weekend. The Fuzzy was a nice one to get in the mail the day after the Pack brought the Vince Lombardi trophy home!!!!
Got several returns in the mail today. I got Dickerson and Brown from a SCN member. The Wilson and Lary were TTMs. Ralph Wilson doesn't have a rookie so I just decided to send him a goaline art card.
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I got my NFC Championship game ticket back from Brett today! I was hesitant to send it because it is a meaningful ticket to me, as it was his last game as a Packer and I was there. I did send a donation again with this one. I'm pretty jacked to get it back. Looks like it's signed just like John's, and I believe both his and mine are authentic. I also got my PSA/DNA cards in the mail today. I'll post some scans of those shortly!
I sent Krause again to replace the first one I got from him that he used a crappy marker on. The Wehrli I got from a SCN member and the Long I got off of ebay.
Big mail day today...The Marino was signed at the sun times show compliments of John. The Winslow was from a SCN signing. The Nelson I sent TTM during the playoffs and I just sent Taylor the 8x10 a couple weeks ago.
So, I fell into the post super bowl craze and just had to have some autos with XLV inscriptions on them. I most definitely overpaid for both of these, but I just couldn't wait to get em signed. They are large canvas prints. The Matthews is 20"x30" and the Rodgers is 24"x36". The Rodgers image is of the TD he ran in during the NFC Championship game. I'm pretty pumped to have them back, and I'm gonna take them to my framer this afternoon.
Big day today. An SCN member got my OPC Gretzky and Griffey done at the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Tournament. He also was able to get Seau for me recently. I've decided to slowly start collecting the other sports. I'll probably spend more time and effort continuing to build my football set, but still getting the easier other sport TTMs and big names that are my favorites. I'm pretty pumped to add Gretzky to my collection. I played hockey growing up and Gretzky was pretty special to watch. I also have just wanted the card for a long time because it's such an iconic card. Similarly, I love the 89 UD Griffey for it's iconic nature. The Dawson was a TTM return. Lastly, I got a couple Augusta National score cards signed by Arnold Palmer c/o The Masters.
So I'm guessing that you don't have an issue selling autographs on eBay that you obtained for free TTM? It's actions like that, that have turned off many players who would sign in the past.
brianwintersfan, I think what he means is that he just bought the Biletnikoff off of eBay. I was also bidding on the same card that just ended a couple of days ago.
<< <i>brianwintersfan, I think what is means is that he just bought the Biletnikoff off of eBay. I was also bidding on the same card that just ended a couple of days ago. >>
Nope. jmhockey23 is a seller on Ebay. You can check for yourself. If a player asks for a fee TTM, I don't have an issue with what the person does with it after they get it back. But there are cards in this thread that he clearly stated were obtained for free which in turn were listed on Ebay.
I was going through some of the stuff I have and decided I wanted to get rid of a lot of the stuff that I have that doesn't meet the focus of my collection. I'm not sure what you want me to do with the stuff if, in your view, I can't sell them? A lot of people buy and sell TTM autos.

Quick change of heart there. Plus I saw what you listed a lot of that stuff for the first time around. Looked like plain greed to me. At least most of it didn't sell at those prices.
With his $10 TTM fee, Elvin Bethea usually sends out an additional signed card free of charge. jmhockey23 thought it would be a good idea to try and get $49.99 for it!
Got a few in the mail today. Griese, Little, and Payton are TTM. I had sent Griese back in August or September last year so it's nice to get that one back. An SCN member got Jack Ham for me at a show last week.
Nice results. What's Monte Irvin charging for a card? Did you send to the Enclave Parkway addy?

I recently decided to take up the challenge of trying to complete a 600 home run ball. So I bought a ball with Bonds/Mays on it and then added Aaron from a signing last week. The others that I still need are:
Ken Griffey Jr Alex Rodriguez Sammy Sosa Jim Thome (will likely reach 600 in the coming months)
Also, I think you should leave the ball with Aaron, Mays and Bonds alone. Besides them being 3 of the top 4, they're also three significant African-American players in baseball's history and I think the ball will be that much more "rare" with those three alone.
<< <i>Couple new ones in the mail today: Whitey Herzog and Bill Parcells
Yeah, I'm not sure about the ball. I think it'd be pretty cool to get the other few guys at 600, but at what cost is the question. Those guys aren't the easiest to get so we'll see.
A couple nice additions in the last couple days: Lance Alworth, Forrest Gregg, and Mike Haynes. I'm pretty pumped about the Alworth. It took a long time before I finally found a card that I could get for a reasonable price. He also inscribed "Bambi" which I thought was pretty cool. I also am excited to get Gregg. I sent him last summer and never heard back. The Haynes was an Ebay purchase.
Couple of ebay purchases: Joe Montana & Pete Pihos. The Montana will serve as a place holder until I find the rookie that I want. It was poorly listed in the non-sports autograph section of ebay and I managed to get it for $7.50. I'm pretty certain it's an authentic early signature of his.
Couple additions this week that I'm pretty happy about. The first is a card that I've been wanting to get pretty bad since I started collecting autographed rookies. I was outbid a few times over the last year trying to acquire it. As a Packers fan Nitschke was on my short list from the start. I'm happy to finally add him. The second is a little bit of a veer off my typical focus. I recently was doing some searches for some other Packers I enjoyed watching over the years. I found this card and had to have it. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, so when I saw that he was wearing his college uniform on the card I had to have it.
Added a couple new ones in the last couple days here. It took me a little while to get the price I was looking to get on a Rice rookie. Nice to finally add him. The Aikman I got at a pretty good price so I decide to hop on it. I used to hate Aikman during his playing days, but I really enjoy listening to him call games now.
Two GREAT additions. I agree with you 100% about Aikman!

Pretty pumped about these two additions. I had the pleasure of attending the 2000 Rose Bowl game. Ron Dayne was the man back then. I've always wanted to get my ticket signed and was able to get it signed through a private signing on SCN. The second return is a TTM from YA Tittle.
