<< <i>So you're the guy that outbid me on the Willie Wood - very nice pickup! I won a few of the other 63 Topps the seller had for sale (Huff, Nomellini and LeBaron). Did you also win the Larry Wilson rc from the same seller?
I've heard Shula has a problem with people in IL and MA and refuses to send anything back and just keeps your items for his own collection. It doesn't seem to matter if you write a 3 page handwritten letter or send in an item with the proper letterhead asking for an autographed so it can be auctioned off for charity (my buddy is the director off a foster home & runs a fund raiser every March)....it aint coming back!

Lol that's funny, but also kinda sad....any IL or MA people that want to get him can send their items to me if you'd like and I'll send them to him. PM me if interested.
If you could send in my card for me it would be much appreciated. It is probably best to wait a few weeks just incase he still has your envelope sitting around.
I was pretty excited to get this one back today. I sent him a RC a few weeks earlier than this helmet. We'll see if I get that back. This is one of my favorite returns so far, as I'm a Packers fan.
Today is the definitely the happiest I've been with a TTM return. I sent this rookie, a $50 donation to Favre's wife's foundation, and a page long letter to Brett back in September. I didn't have any expectation that I would get it back, but wanted to give it a shot. Favre has been my idle all through my childhood. Up until a few years ago when Rodgers became the quarterback for Green Bay, the only memories I had of watching the Packers were of Favre playing quarterback. I was about 6 or 7 when Brett started his streak with Green Bay. I've been a huge fan since. Through the last few years with him playing for other teams I've always supported him. It has made my year to get this one back! Of course today when I went to scan the card my scanner wasn't working! So I frantically got out my camera and took some pictures.
congrats on the autos...love the WI focus for most!!!
do you know how lucky you are to only have seen Favre and Rodgers as QB of the Packers...you didnt miss anything in through most of the 70's or 80's. Dickey was good but hurt a lot, then only the Majik man for a few years.
do you know if the packers forward mail to former players? i have some cards i would like to get auto'd for two separate but related projects i am working on.
one is my attempt to get an auto of every player that has ever scored a point for the packers through their 91 years so far. the other is a auto'd card/or just a plain auto (for the darn vikes FB that doesnt have a card) of every player that has caught one of favres TD's.

They do forward, but it all depends on the player on if you're gonna get a return. Are you a member of SCN? If not, PM me if you want some addresses. I like the Favre TD idea. How many are there? I'd guess like 80?
Just got home from being outa town over the weekend. Had these two waiting in the mailbox. As others have posted, I also requested an autographed bookplate from George W. Bush. I was pretty pumped to get that one.
Couple returns this week: Jim Otto and Frank Gifford. The Gifford took a couple months so it was nice to get that one back. The McCormack I picked up on ebay. I was looking for a card to send him and this one was pretty cheap so I just went with it.
Couple returns the last couples days: Nolan Ryan and Paul Krause. The Nolan Ryan ball I had sent out in August so it was nice to see that one come back. It also included a Nolan Ryan hologram. I was pretty bummed about the Paul Krause. It appears that he used a pretty bad marker to sign with, but he did include an extra picture. The Charlie Sanders I picked up on ebay for pretty cheap.
Nice additions. When I send rookie cards to be signed TTM, I send in a padded envelope with a blue ultra fine tip sharpie. That way you greatly lessen the possibility that the card will be signed with a sh*tty marker. Otherwise you'll rolling the dice with a 15 to 20% probablility of a bad writing utensil being used.

I agree with Greg. Any time that I send to a HOF'er I always include a medium or fine tip Staedtler. You can pick them up online for about $1.20 per pen. I find that the Staedtlers dry a little faster than sharpies which makes it a little less likely to smear.I would say that at least 80% of the time they will use the pen you provide. However, don't expect to get your pen back, 9-10 times they will keep your pen. However, it is a small price to pay when dealing with higher priced cards.
I like the advice you guys about sending your own pen. I'll admit on the ones so far I've sent, I haven't done that... But am going to try to start. Does it get a lot more pricey to do that cause you would have to start using padded envelopes there & back, right?
Yeah, I started out doing that for the more expensive cards I was sending out. Then I started to think it wasn't necessary because I wasn't having many problems just sending the cards. Lesson learned. Merry Christmas everyone!
The Ditka is my secret santa gift compliments of Greg M. The Buoniconti and Selmon are both TTM returns that came in the mail today. I was excited to get the Buoniconti, as it took me a while to get a reasonably priced card of his.
Does Nick always personalize his TTM's? Love the Ditka card! He is Chicago Bear football. Maybe da bears can spoil the Packers playoff hopes on Sunday.

Looks like over the past couple years he has. BEARS SUCK!!
Got a few back in the last week or so. The Stenerud is from an SCN signing. The Newsome and Taylor are TTM. Unfortunately, Taylor signed the back of my card. I didn't think I was getting it back, as I sent it in August, so I guess just getting it back is a bonus.
Wow, it has been a while since I've posted some successes here. It has been slow going to start the new year. I've gotten about 4 RTS' to start the year. I've also been preoccupied with some other things, but I sent out a few requests last week. Anyway, here are a couple that I've got in the last few days: Ron Yary and Billy Shaw.
Was pleased to see the Grimm's to come back as they've been out a while. I was pretty bummed about the Grant though. I had sent a RC and got someone's index card back. He did include two other autos though.
I got the Page TTM. The Green I got off of ebay. They made it just in time for my PSA/DNA sub that I sent out today. I sent out 72 cards today for the special....waiting anxiously for some poppage!
Very nice returns. Hope all the slabs come back authentic.
STAY HEALTHY!

I did, $15. Also, the second time I sent I wrote "donation enclosed" on the envelope. I think that might have helped.
