Lou was one of the people here I really looked up to. He and I shared some pms that still make me laugh. It is so incredibly sad to think that there will be no more...
My deepest condolances and sympathies to his wife and family. Lou was a tremendous guy!
There are no words to describe just how shocked I was when I just read the news.....so many times I have read about deaths and robberies on this forum and I had no emotional ties with these individuals so while the news was sad....it really didn't hit home. In this case Lou wasn't just a forum friend...Lou was a good friend that I looked forward to hanging out with every year at the FUN show. He was simply a great human being, great personality....passionate about coins and passionate about life.
He really makes the old saying about the good die young come to life for me and I am extremely heartbroken for his family and friends like myself who will miss him dearly.
I am going to miss you buddy....thank you for be a good freind.
This is very, very sad news. I always enjoyed his posts, and I enjoyed meeting him in person at the FUN show and discussing coins and especially Shield nickels. A true gentleman and a true numismatist. We will miss his wisdom and wit on this Forum. May he rest in peace. We have said prayers for his family.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel upon reading this news. Lou was a terrific person and we in the numismatic will miss him greatly. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family.
That is shocking, very sad news. I really enjoyed getting to know IGWT and hanging around him at the shows. Great guy.
If anyone knows his home address, please PM me - would like to send a card to his wife.

Sorry to hear that. Reminds me that we should keep an eternal perspective throughout our short years here. May God grant comfort and support to his family.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.
This is so sad. Lou and I never had the pleasure of meeting in person, but we discussed silver type among other things quite a few times. And of course his nickels. Much too nice a gentleman and far to young to leave this earth, may he rest in peace.
Sorry to hear this. I did not know Lou on a personal basis but learned much from his posts. He will be missed. My condolences to his friends and family.
Although I didn't know Lou on a personal level, I always enjoyed his posts and thought he was a great guy. My prayers go out to his wife and his daughters. May the Lord be with them in their time of need.

Thanks for letting us know, Mike.
I appreciated IGWT's (Lou's) posts. That is quite young.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Now that pulled on the heartstrings.
RIP Lou and my prayers are with the family.
I knew it would happen.
The posts by IGWT were always a great read here on the boards. He will be greatly missed.
