    I'm no Ansel Adams, but I enjoy *trying* to take metal and coin pics that are a little more interesting than just your basic eBay shot.

    This is a sick coin. Just got it this morning. Its the only gold panda I have a duplicate of in my collection of over 70 gold pandas. Of the 139 different date/denom combos to date thus far, this is by far the rarest with a mintage of just 4,162 pieces. Considering how popular these bullion coins are worldwide, thats not very many to go around at all!

    Those are my birthyear lincolns - I bought them from an older gentleman at the last show I was at on a whim.
    Someday I'll go through them, but they do look pretty cool in the coffee can.

    Ever see Gran Turino with Eastwood? Theres a part where the asian kid is in Clint's garage and marvels at all his tools hanging on the walls. He tells Clint "wow, you must be rich!". Clint replies that he had aquired those tools 1 at a time over a very long period and that he is not rich. Same applies here. What you see is the result of 3+ years of accumulation. I didnt go out and buy it all last week!

    I believe they are standard 400oz "good delivery" bars. But I may be wrong. 10-1 says that Tom Delorey knows what they are.

    There's something about this picture I don't like but can't quite
    put my finger on it. It's a couple billion dollars worth of gold which
    isn't all that much and there's about 9 tons sitting on the bottom
    pallet. ...Maybe this is what bothers me. These are the best look-
    ing pallets I've ever seen but why so high and how so much weight.
    If you bumbed into the side of one of these piles, I have to believe
    the pallet would fail.
