Done with APMEX for good.

Big bummer, cuz I did enjoy ordering products from them. I was an established customer (4 seperate orders in past 8 months totaling about $6,700) and I can still get no respect from them. After talking to a sales rep, I was informed that the CC limits can be lifted for individuals on a case by case basis. For some reason, my $800+ / per month ordering history from them does not qualify. The rep was quick to point out that I can still order from them via check...I was quicker to point out that NWT mint also takes checks, and does NOT charge shipping and handling like APMEX. Plus NWT is actually cheaper than APMEX ($75 for a 5 oz bar compared to $79 at APMEX). So long APMEX, it was nice knowing you!

Sounds like APMEX just doesn't care about profits. I'd hate to be a share holder of this outfit.

Isn't this your second thread on the same subject? I for one, don't give a hoot about your buying experience with APMEX.

I can understand your frustration however you have to realize that 6700.00 in orders over an 8 month period does not make you a heavy hitter or 'preferred' customer in the world of bullion dealers. In fact, your total orders over 8 months would not even or just barely meet the single minimum order requirement at bullion dealers like Tulving and some others.

Really? How much have you purchased from Apmex over the past 8 months?

How much you, I, or anyone else has purchased from APMEX or any other bullion dealer over the past 8 months is completely beside the point. My point was that someone cannot typically expect to receive VIP treatment from a place like APMEX unless they are spending a LOT of money there.

That's it, I'm not going to Aldi's anymore. I just realized they only carry off brand products.

I LOVE Aldi. image First grocery store I hit every weekend. They don't have a wide selection, but what they do have is often at a great price.

I've never been to an Aldi's... Do they take credit cards? If so, is there a limit on how much you can purchase with a credit card?
  • secondrepublicsecondrepublic Posts: 2,619 ✭✭✭
They don't take credit cards. As far as I know, they only take visa or mastercard Debit cards, or cash.

I've had no problems at all with APMEX...
  • I just got my last order from Apmex of 500 1 oz. rounds on the 99 cent sale and was very happy with the service. The local coin shops have little to no 1, 5 or 10 oz. rounds and bars so I've been buying from APMEX.
