What is the difference between a retail and hobby Ginter box. Why is there such a difference in price? I am assuming the odds of pulling a relic or an auto are better in a hobby box but what about the other inserts. Are DNA relic cards inserted into retail boxes/blasters?

Hobby box will get you 3 hits...GU/autos/rips/plates/cuts
Retail box will get you 1 hit
Blaster Box will guarentee you no hits. From what I have seen 1:3 blasters have a hit.
If you can land a hobby box in the 75-85 range I would say go that route. What are you hoping to pull?

So Im at the card shop tonight and they are doing a case rip of 08 SPx. I pull the Pirates and get a few cards but nothing great. Ginter is calling my name of course so afterwards I plan to pack out a box and try to pull something nice. 20 packs into the first box I have not pulled one single hit. I finally pull two jersey cards and that is it. SOOOOOO, I go to another box where I am hoping to turn my luck around. 8 packs in I pull a rip card or Aubrey Huff..probably one of the worst ones you can pull
...I will probably bust it later. SOOOO I keep busting and BAM, finally some good luck!
Is it just me or are Ginter prices going back up again? I definitely thought things were tailing off a bit, but the last 7-10 days, I've noticed higher prices AND higher # of bidders. Inventions still hot, A group autos still going up, rip minis seem to be going up. Wonder if a rash of new people just started working on sets and jumped into the game over the last week...

My main focus is putting together some sets and any relics and autos are a bonus. What can I expect to build out of one case? Will I be able to complete the base set? And how many mini’s can I expect to pull? Is there a good chance to pull one or two #’ed bazooka’s out of one of these?

Its never too late to get in, there are still plenty of people around trading. I have plenty of minis left and can help you with any base card needs you might have. You would like to think that you could at least do a base set with your case, but you might need some help. There are autos you can pull that can get you some good money, maybe enough to do a mini set. Probably 1-2 bazooka and also some no number backs.
