Half Dollar Roll Find

I went to the bank and asked if they had any half dollars. They never have anything but this time the teller found one roll. I could not believe it.

Sugar magnolia blossoms blooming, heads all empty and I don't care ...
Great find. I bought a partial bag ($639.50) of Halves last week and found 54-40%'s and 12-90%'s in there. Best so far.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
I'm actually in the process of calling around some banks to find some half dollars. I'll post here if I find anything!

<< <i>Ok, I'm back from my hunting. I only was able to pick up $83 in halves, and I did mediocre. I got 1 1967 an a 1950 Franklin. I am heading out tomorrow morning to a Bank of America to pick up $350 worth, so hopefully I do a bit better with those.

Good luck. I searched $1000 worth a couple weeks back and found 1-1964 & 2-1968's
I was a bit dissapointed, but it was pretty exciting seeing the silver edge among all the clads.
I ordered another box and it should be in next week. Hopefully I will do a little better.

I've ordered coins in the past, but haven't had much luck (typically 1 40% per $500 box). The real finds are in rolls people turn in to banks. I've had no luck at all in dimes or quarters, save for 1 1964 dime.
I think with the economic downturn, people are turning coins in at a high rate, many people not knowing what they have. Probably also helps that I live within 5 miles of a retirement community.
