Saturday night was a sad night at the graham household. I play Texas hold'em every other sat. night. Its a game full of guys from one of the local steel plants. Its a perfect set up, the guys are flush with cash and low on poker skills. This game is absolutly perfect.

Well when I get home its around eleven and thats when I noticed the tragedy had taken place. My wife had used my absence to re-arrange the livingroom. She removed my Daniel Moore prints. Daniel Moore primarily paints pics of Bama football, and my livingroom no longer resembles a shrine to Tuscaloosa. I'm sad

Part of my Bama art work that got removed from the livingroom was my piece that had 24 Gold (in color) coins displayed in the shape of a football. 12 seperate coins with two of each in the display, that the front and back of each coin is presented. The reason for 12 coins, is that each coin represents a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP won by Bama!!!!!!!!!!

We really should have 13, we were robbed in 1966, only undefeated team in the country, defending two-time national champ, and got jumped in the final poll by a team that had one loss { I HATE N.D.)!!!!!!!

    << <i>Craig,

I'm half-way into the second of four 1986 Topps Factory Sets.

    Not too good!

Just too much chipping on the black edges.

Besides, 80% of the cards are OC, as was this Gantner.

Molitor & Yount? (Stay tuned, as they have not been pulled yet!) image

This '86 Gantner, as with many other commons within this series, is proving to be pretty tough, in high-end minty, gradeable condition!

But I'm "still a tryin' to find something for ya"!

    Thanks!

Why? Did you find a 92 Topps Mike Bielecki card that you wanted to include? It's a 5, it's a 10, it doesn't matter. It's still worth a nickel.

If you are trying to infer that I have a habit of subbing crap, worthless cards, you don't have to. I have already posted my sub twice, and all are aware of how pathetic the cards I subbed are. lol

The funny thing, I like my junk 10's as much as I do my good ones.

My 1992 Topps Mitch Williams PSA 10 is sitting proudly right next to my 83 Mike Schmidt OPC PSA 10, which is a low pop and actually worth something. I'm more fond of Mitch than Mike, I'm wierd

    Gumby,

No offense what so ever has been taken on my behalf. I knew you were just having fun.

Maybe it the southern pride or as my wife calls it 'southern stupity', simply put it, I have a tendency of not really caring what anyone says about me.

I'm really rambling today and need to break these posts up into many posts so I have a better chance of winning a super prize from david puddy

I wonder which one has the correct centering? Check out the foul poles on both cards as well as the box his name is in.
  • I was going to say that, I noticed grass and hat differences.
    imageimageimage
  • I would vote for the first one (the one with both sides of the pole showing).. I think Gantner is more "centered" on the card..

Bottom Gantner looks better in terms of edges and corners.
  • CrimsonTiderCrimsonTider Posts: 1,381 ✭✭✭
Could that card also fall into a Fielder master set?

  • CrimsonTiderCrimsonTider Posts: 1,381 ✭✭✭
Fielder has an extra large rear side and he dips, Gantner really gets no respect. I mean look at that card, he has to share his card with close up of Fielder power base

    Whatever!!!!!image

I've plowed 5 Feet in the last week and a half. Worst spring I can rememeber in the last 25-30 years. Two storms alone dumped 12-14 inches in one and Fridays was 1 foot and 1/2 in one day (18 inches).

  • Our lovely forecasters warned of record lows below freezing for our area. My wife spent all day preparing her precious flowers in the front yard. When I took the kids to school, it was 48 degrees. Maybe it just felt warm outside becuase baseball regular season has started.
