Riped the box of 05 ITG Pros and Prospects hockey. It was actually a cool box to rip. I also got some nice ink out of it.

opened a box of 05 Ultra hockey that I had sitting here. It was a pretty sweet box. I hit a couple of crosbys and one was a RC jersey card. Does anyone know how much PSA will stick it to me for the left edge on the crosby. Is it possible to get a psa 9 with a rough edge?

Well, this will be my last box for a little bit. I wanted to put together a sub for the April special so I have been ripping more then normal. The 94 Finest series 2 was a pretty sweet box. I pulled three Jason Kidd's and a Grant Hill rc's. The two refractors were not worth scanning.

I made a run out to BBCE today for the first time in a while. I went out there to pick up my 2001 Topps baseball box from the group rip and wound up getting a little bit more then I initially intended. I doubt I will have time to rip very much for the next couple of months because of a new baby. However, I will try to update scans when I can sneak an hour or two in here and there.

Good luck with the 86's, I have tried a few times to pull those 10's. For some reason I get burned out from 86 rather quickly and can only open a box or two at a time. I would stay a way from the cellos if you are looking to sub them.

I wish I had the patience to sort everything I rip. Do you have a trick to sorting that helps with the monotonous? I start to lose interest after about an hour.

<< <i>I'll take that Jordan SP card off of you.

    Brian >>

I am hoping that Jordan pays for my next sub. It should come back a psa 10. The card is flawless. It is probably the best looking card in the entire box. Do you know how much that card sells for in a PSA 10? I have tried doing a back search on ebay and there are no psa 10's listed. Please let me know if there are any other cards you are interested in. >>

    John,
There is a PSA 10 of this card up for sale right now and it closes on Sunday. psa-set-guy is the seller. Let's see where it ends up. Did you get this card graded yet?

I never had the card graded. I sent the card to Brian (neenish) back in April. I actually have not heard back from him, I was curious to see if he had it graded. Has anyone spoken to Brian recently? Hopefully everything is ok with him.

jswieton - or anyone for that matter - any of you ever rip some 92-93 fleer basketball? I love the all-star cards from there, but not sure what series they were in. Damn Google couldn't even find it. Pulling Shaq and Mourning rookies would be icing on the cake - although I don't know if those are series one or two either.

I last heard from him in early May. I sent him one of those SP Jordan's after seeing this thread. He said that he was really busy and didn't have time to post much.

    Pete,
I'm almost certain that the All Star inserts were in Series 1 wax but you can check a Beckett Basketball price guide to be sure. If will tell you what series it was in and the odds. I remember that year had a lot of inserts in different types of packs. Team Leaders were in rack packs, Rookie Sensations were in cellos, etc.

Shaq and Mourning RCs were in series 2 packs.

I was at K-Fart today and they actually have some good deals on cards. I picked up some 08 Goudey blister packs for $1.49 each and a few 08 UD First basketball for $0.50 a pack. The BB was from a new box so I took the chance that it was unsearched.

I have been severely slacking with my scans from my rips. So I have decided to post the scan of the cards I will be sending in later this month for the July grading special. I will update a few cards everyday as I add them to my PSA grading form. I will have around 100 cards going out to PSA later this month. The majority of the cards I will be sending were pulled from packs I opened. Please comment as I go if you feel that the card I am sending in are not worthy of grading. I am shooting for psa 9's or better with all my cards unless I state otherwise.

I went to the show in Chicago on Sunday and picked up these while I was there. I picked up the Jordan for $30 and I would be happy with an 8. I think there is a slim chance of a 9. The Clemente has awesome eye appeal and if it had a little better center I think it would grade high but I would be ok with a 7 with a reasonable shot at an 8. The Kobe I got for $13 and it should be at least a 9.

I have recently changed my focus on collecting a little. My main focus since I got back into the hobby a few years ago, was to put together a graded collection of rookie cards. In doing so, over the past couple of years I have busted a ton of wax. I tried to pull as many RC’s as I could from opening packs. As many of you know this can get rather expensive.

Over the past few months I have tried to curb my spending a little since my wife and I had our first baby. I figured that the best way to do so, while still being active in card collecting, would be to get some of my rc’s that are not grade worthy autoed through TTM.

I never expected to enjoy it that much when I first started sending them out. As the days past, I began to actually forget about most of the cards I had sent. I figured that most of the cards would get lost or never returned. Well, I have been pleasantly surprised. I have recently started to receive the cards back that I have sent. I am now actually excited to check my mailbox when I get home from work. Here are just a few of the cards that I have gotten back over the past few weeks. I highly recommend to anyone who wants an affordable way to participate in card collecting to try and send out a few cards TTM. It is more gratifying then you might think when you receive that first card in the mail.

Great job. As someone who has no budget for collecting at the moment, all the TTMs are helping me stay involved in the hobby. Continued success!

    Wow! Great successes!

I agree with cracking packs and boxes...so expensive now. But loving autographed cards so much, TTM autos have rejuivenated my collecting interests! I absolutely love it! Every once in a while if it is a HOFer I will pay. But its certainly no more expensive to pay for that tough signature. And its a guaranteed hit! Here are a couple I got, the Yaz just today back from Dick Gordon Sports Private Signing....

    Mr Thomson free TTM

    Mr Turley free TTM

and there is so much more....Good luck on future ones! It IS addictive!

Good stuff John - I've found TTM'ing to be more rewarding than busting wax. I've also had a good time searching ebay for nice looking cheap rookies for autographs.

    Nice TTMs guys!

How long did it take to get back Singletary? I sent it to his home in CA on March 31 and still waiting.
    STAY HEALTHY!
