    That is not unusual ... most US Mint products when first released are placed on a b/o status. As far as a sell-out? Unlikely, it was far to easy to order these commems.

    Far too easy ? it took only a little less than the time it took me to order the UHR

    Site wasn't as badly affected, but it was still BAD.

    Let's see.. 300 million Americans, one coin for every 600 people. I've got 10 coming and will order more.. and I'm not even american image

    Also influencing me is the Silver PF eagle mintages which are sometimes much higher than 500k. 500k is for all product options too, including the special set

    I'm just as interested in the cents as anyone & this is just a thought, but maybe they'll issue them in (4) roll sets? Heck... they might not offer them to us at all?image

    I wanted to get one and I normally get the proof commems but I thought this one might look better as the uncirculated coin. Perhaps I am crazy!

    I know :'( I salivated over the thought of a little gold Lincoln !

    All I can do is look at the Modern Commem set I am building, there is sometimes a 50c and $1 but no $5. Sometimes loads of 50c and $1 (olympics issues)

    So maybe there is no gold coming. Oh well...

    Ordered 3 proof; 3 unc. The site seems to be faster once you're logged in and use quick checkout.

    Question...are we saying that the special set this spring will consist of a 50,000 coin run of traditional content brass pennies?!?

    That might be worth the time it takes to order...and hopefully there will be some reasonable limit on those orders...maybe 5 per household.

    You gotta be careful using quick checkout during a frenzy. There is a glitch when after hitting quick checkout and before you get to the review order screen it pulls up the review page but it's basically blank, back is useless. Order history will show an order number along with status order suspended, then within the hour poof, the order disappears....
