Yeah I know and I'm up all night crying about it. >>
I feel your pain. Got any 1983 Donruss cards laying around? >>
In fact I do. I'm sure they are not the best of grade though. In 83, my best friend and I would walk up to the Circle K. He used to buy candy and get cavities LOL
Lookin' good! I bet the Rolling Rock is tastin' good, too. I'm watching the clock for another 2 hours or so until I head out for Tequila night. $5 for a beer-and-a-shot....it can only be the highest quality.
Needless to say, I won't be slabbing any cards at the pub.
Mike, I have a checklist on page four. I think I'll move it to page one when I re-do the flips on the early cards. I only have the cards in bold right now that I have slabbed. I still have some that are not slabbed and hope to get them on the list soon.

Why not? Didn't ronburgandy sit in a bar and open his PSA sub once? LOL
The amount of hesitation points is nasty. Also, I think the guy that forged it is left handed with the loop tail in Favre. >>
Thanks for the link Troy. I am not aware of any 'blank" 94 Proline auto cards that made it into circulation. As the scans show, all the auto cards have the same back. The only way that I know of (firsthand) is to take the back off an actual auto card and affix it to a base Favre. Then add the fake sig.
Here is another one on the right. I 'm pretty sure this one is legit. I recognize the handwriting on the numbering from alot of my other proline cards.
Sometimes the fakers just do the phony autograph on the base card and don't worry about the lack of certification on the back. Even though a collector of the set would immediately recognize the problem, a Favre fan might not.
Slow goings lately on ebay. Here is former Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Katy Copperheads (National Indoor Football League) Rb Bam Morris
Very nice collection goin' matt. Oh I found this on you tube. I remember when this happened. I don't like Rome but I did think it was funny. Jim/Chris vs Rome
We have three computers in our house, two of them being laptops. The cords for the laptops get dragged from room to room depending on who's using the computers. There is no set place for the cords. Sometimes they are behind the bed. Other times they are under a chair in the living room, you get the idea.
Over the last few weeks, the cords started to not work. You would have to twist or tap on them to get them to charge. First one went down to not working at all, then another one this morning. I figured it was from just dragging them around, being pulled from room to room.
Well, up until a few minutes ago, I have been slabbing the cards Craig sent me. (shown below) I took my scanner out from under the chair where I keep it. I always keep it there. It's out of the way and I don't have to worry about my two year old boy smashing it with....well, anything he gets his hands on
I got the cards ready to be scanned and plugged my scanner in. It didn't power up! I couldn't figure out what the problem was. It has always worked, never with any issues. So, that makes three cords that all went bad within a month. The two laptop cords and now my scanner.
After trying a few different outlets in the house, I came to the conclusion that something is just not right for all three cords to go bad so close to each other. I took a closer look at the scanner cord and saw the problem right away. The cord has a bunch of holes punctured through it. I then grabbed the laptop cords and much to my surprise, both of them had the same holes!
Apparently our cat developed a taste for rubber. Damn furry beast. Next time I'll be sure to leave it plugged in
Culprit along with the cards Craig gave me are shown below :
<< <i>Wow. This is a great looking set. I somehow haven't stumbled on this thread before, but I'll be sure to check back.
What's your current status on finishing the set? (I haven't gone through all the posts, so forgive me if this is answered somewhere else...)
Drew >>
Thanks Drew. There are 134 cards in the auto set. I need 20, give or take a few. I have all of the high dollar autos with the exception of the Aikman/Irvin auto combo. I haven't seen one ebay or anywhere for that matter.
Three new additions. I haven't updated this thread in a while
Sorry for the bad scans. I had to use my all-in-one because our cat chewed up my power cord to my Epson Perfection scanner and I still haven't picked up another cord.
Thanks for sharing, love seeing the addtions to your set.
